Easy peasy. Take old drawer out, slide new drawer in. Done!

i had used your web site before and i read several problems that your readers had. i went to the back of the unit, removed the bottom cover and right there the i found the run capacitor and i chaged it. since i had only ordered this part to save money i went back and ordered the Start Device which when i took it off it was completely burned. the replacement part came labeled with 2 different compressor #, so i picked the one that i had and unpluged each wire. the part may differ from the one that it's in the unit but it worked when i pluged everything back on. it also helps to take a picture of everything before removing the wires in case you have to leave it and come back later. i hope to use this refrigerator another 10 years. thank you all for your help.

Shut off water supply. Unplug refrigerator. Removed lower back cardboard panel. Removed two screws holding inlet valve bracket to side frame. Pulled valve out far enough to gain access to water lines and electrical connectors. Used 9mm open end wrench to press in collars to remove water lines from inlet valve. Used small container to catch water dripping from lines. Removed defective valve and replaced with new one by first pushing water lines into respective openings, make sure they are fully seated. Reconnected electric wires. Installed inlet valve on side frame. Replaced back panel. Plugged in power cord. Opened water supply. Flushed about 2 gals of water through system. Note: water may not flow immediately due to air in water lines.

Checked the water line from the wall to the supply port of the inlet valve and it was suppling water but no water beyond the water inlet valve, So I ordered a new inlet valve and installed, and it fixed the problem. Inlet valve supplies water to the ice maker and water dispenser filter housing. Partselect videos and you tube installation videos very helpful. Partselect troubleshooting guide also very helpful. It is as easy as is shown in the self-help video. (1) Disconnect the power, (2) Roll the appliance out so you can get to the back, (3) Using a nut driver remove all the screws from the lower back panel then remove the panel, (4) Remove the tensioner wire, (5) unplug the electrical connection to the capacitor, (6) gently but firmly remove the capacitor and starter relay as one unit, (7) preassemble your new capacitor and starter relay as one unit, (8) now simply reverse your steps for installing and you are done! These two parts saved me the cost of a new refrigerator. Almost as easy as changing a light bulb. PS: while you have the panel removed you can do a thorough cleaning with a soft brush and vacuum.

We removed the old switch, unplugged it, plugged the new one in and it was easy to do. But when we tried to put the switch back in we had a very hard time doing it. Eventually got it in, but if it had not been for the difficulty we had getting the new switch to snap in to place, it would have taken under 5 minutes.

Removed old starter and capacitor as per your website instruction.
Plugged in new parts.
Compresser turned on

Hold both water filter reset touch sensors down together. This will reset the water sensor indicator.

1 Remove ice tray
2 turn off ice maker
3 Remove 4 screws
holding on the
cover over the ice

4 remove the two hex
screws holding in
the ice maker.
Remove ice maker.
5 Reverse this procedure for installation.

Found the filter door in toe kick under freezer door. Opening the door ejected the old filter. Direction indicator arrows were found on inside of filter door, rotation of filter to match arrows important. Pushed new filter in to stop, closing door completed insertion of new filter.

Removed freezer cover from ice maker, unplugged the harness. Installed the new ice maker assembly,plugged in two wire harness and secured the part and cover.
Results was smooth process, no noice from ice dispenser. Pleased with results. Saved on repairs. Thanks Tom

Remove back side cardboard access cover. About 6 dcrews need to be removed. Remove 9/16” bolt and lower compressor tray frame down to slide out wheel axel. Place wheel in slot and replace axel. Lift compressor tray and replace 9/16” bolt. Replace cardboard cover. Remove 2x4.

Unplug refrigerator.
Pry switch out with putty knife
Remove two wires from switch
Attach wires to new switch
Push new switch into slot

This is a very basic model refrigerator and the only model we could purchase when our machine failed suddenly. The new unit works just fine, but we really missed the snack storage of the higher level units. I ordered the parts for the next higher model Whirlpool side by side refrigerator and installed them without incident. They new snack drawer is a little difficult to snap into place, but it fits perfectly and we certainly appreciated the extra snack drawer on our basic model.

Easy repair, third time in four months, same part. I don't recommend Whirlpool refer's. Stick to the washer and dryers.
