inserted a knife between the switch and the plastic interior in order to pop the switch out.
then took off the 2 wires on the old switch put them on the new switch and reinserted the switch into the plastic interior.

I just followed the instructions that came with the unit, it was very easy. The old ice maker was taken out some time ago, so all I had to do was install the new one. It was three screws and one electrical plug. I removed the ice maker over a year ago and did not replace it at the time. I purchaced new handles also and they were easy to replace. I then decided to try the ice maker, I got tired of buying ice at the store. The order came in just two days right to my front door. It was a very easy fix and now I have a refrigerator full of ice. I removed all of the cover screws and then had to defrost the coils. Once i had that done I undid the 3 scres holding the coil in place. Took out the old heater part and replaced it. The hardest partof the whole project is trying to avoid getting cut on the coil fins. Put it back together and all has been well.

The instructions are practically no help, but if you study the diagram, you can figure out the one screw you need to remove. Then the icemaker lift off of two brackets. I couldn't see how to use a screwdriver to unlock the bracket, but just applying mild pressure and pulling it forward brought it right out. I didn't have to change anything with the plug already intalled so it was very easy to pop in, lock the plug, pop into brackets, replace screw and I was in business. 24 hours later I had a bucket of ice! 15 minutes to figure out how to get old out and 5 min to replace new one. Fairly easy. Read posts here to get hints!

removed three screws pluged it in and it was ready to go. I must add That I ordered it one day and received it the next day by fed ex. I could not believ how fast the service was also the new icemaker is working great. I will order any furture parts I need from Parts Select. Also have given your web site ot several other people. On my particular model refrigerator I only needed to remove one screw and disconnet the plug. I then slid the unit out. The new ice maker did not come with the plastic sled that was attached to the old unit. I removed and attached the sled to the new unit with 3 screws.

Ice maker wouldn't eject the ice often enough. After reading a few other stories, I just ordered the universal ice maker from Part Select. All I had to do was remove some of the plastic shrouds from my old ice maker and put them on the new one. I also reused my mounting brackets. The whole job took me 20 minutes.

Removed the screws and disconnected the electric. I put the proper electric harness on and went to fit the unit in but it didn't fit. Until I figured out that you have to use the clips from the old unit that hold the unit in place. The actually hang on them. Once I figured it out it was easy.

I removed the switch housing (4 screws), replacing the switch in the housing was a snap. It took 5 minutes, cost $8 and light works like new!

Why didn't I order this part and do the repair earlier? Very simple.

I removed the two attachment screws and lifted the old icemaker out and disconnected the plug. The new one was identical to the old one so the installation was just a reversal of the removal. The water soleniod was sticking from not being used so I took it apart and cleaned it. The next morning I had ice. The part arrived at my door in less than 24 hours from my order placement.

Checked compressor with amp meter, and found it was not running, found Overload Switch bad.
When removing old switch watch carefully which lug you move wires from, so you will know which
lug to put the new switch on.

Took the old one out in Two Min's, Replaced with the new one in about the same time.
Had ice within 1 hour

I Removed 3 screws, pulled off the plate and put the new one on, screwed in 3 screws and away I went. I could not believe how easy it was to order the part and how quickly it arrived. I was very pleased. And I was literally screaming with excitement when I heard the first set of ice cubes drop!

Just like the others. Unplug the refrigerator. Loosen the top two screw and remove the bottom screw. Unplug the unit, plug in the new one, slid the unit over the top two screws, replace the bottom screw and tighten the top two screws. Done. I ordered the unit Sunday it was shipped Monday and arrived Phoenix Wednesday, shipper then rerouted it to Tucson Thursday who sent it back to Phoenix on Friday and finallydelivered it Saturday.

First I removed the ice bin to give me room to work. Then I took out the screws that held the old ice maker in place. I disconnected the wiring. I then plugged the wires of the new ice maker into the old wiring harness. I put in the bottom screws and loosely connected the top screws. I checked the level of the ice maker with a small level and then tightened the screws. The nest thing was to install wire level that shuts off the ice maker when the bin is full. Finally put the ice bin back in place.
