Very easy. Take panel off and replace motor.. All wires matched fine. Easiest applance repair I've done..

I took off the front cover with the controls. Pulled out the control knobs, unbolted the assembly (which was identical to my replacement part) and proceded to follow the old thermostat tube to the back of the fridge. The tube should be carefully removed, not pulled on, there's a couple of screws holding it in towards the back. I installed the new part in reverse of how I took out the original part. I'm very happy with how the fridge has come back to life! It was much cheaper to fix it than to replace.

Took off refrigerator door from top hinge and lifted off. A little difficulty getting worn out parts off (needed dremel to drill out worn plastic); replaced with new parts, the screw head holding on the part was starting to be worn as well but still worked. If I hadn't got to this repair soon the bottom of the door aluminum would have total worn out as it is, it has a deep groove but not noticeable. The new cams also force the door closed tight instead of slightly ajar at times.

removed old shelf support after taking out the glass and support. New part was a perfect fit that was a "shap: to put in.

Remove the old shelf and slid the new shelf in - couldn't have been easier!

removed 3 screws with 1/4 nutdriver and unplug icemaker and removed from Refrigerator. Waited for 2 days and new icemaker arrived. Plug in icemakes mounted using the 3 screws. Done in less then 5 min. working fine.

The ice mold has a coating on it. Over time the coating deteriorates. If your ice maker leaks water into the ice reservoir inspect the mold to see if the coating is compromised. If so, replace with new.

Remove the ice maker assembly. 3 small hex screws. Unplug power cord. Disassemble ice maker assembly. Remove ice mold/heater. Replace with new. Reassemble.

I removed the cardboard back then using a nut driver removed the three mounting screws, removed the old fan/motor and installed the new one, installing the three screws and replacing the cardboard cover.

My big problem was getting the right parts. Don't ever order refrigerator parts using the refrigerator model number. I did and got the wrong part, sent it back and talked to the parts lady and ordered again describing the error, the needed parts shape etc and she sent me the exact part I had sent back. I sent it back and removed the fan motor to get the part number, called and ordered by number and got the right one. Hallelujah!

Looking at the ice maker it is pretty cut & dried as to how to remove the unit. I took out the ice tray and just started removing all the mounting screws. The same for the mold ice tray & heating element. I was just sad that you did not have just the heating element separate from the mold ice tray.

After checking out the part number from the manuel that came with the fridge, I found out that the manual was wrong. After taking the old icemaker out I found it had a different part number on it. Looked it up at PartSelect and found out that the number on the old icemaker had changed. That was no problem and it was much cheaper than the one in the manuel. Anyway, I ordered the icemaker and believe it or not, I had it on my front porch the next day. It just had three screws to install and reattached the harness and it was done. Just to let everyone know it takes almost a good day before the ice started to come out, but then it started making ice as fast as before. Easy install and the price was great and service was very, very fast.

Found the housing for the thermostat; took housing apart pulled out thermostat and took off the hose put the hose on the new thermostat installed new thermostat and replaced housing.

Technician at ASK suggested replacing ice maker. Ordered new ice maker(prompt delevery)then noticed it came without wire arm and white platic "flag". Ordered arm and "flag", replaced all old with new and seems to be doing well. Perhaps all I needed was the plastic "flag" on the limit arm wire. Will never know. The new icemaker wiring had short wires and a connector. Old ice maker had no connector so the short wires were removed and the old wires plugged into the ice maker. Mirror was required in order to see the side wall mounting screws. Very narrow work area, tiny freezer side.
