Helpful to have instructions
Since there were no instructions, I was a tad hesitant but dove in. I was just replacing the right end cap, not the left. Removed the involved shelf as well as the two drawers above. Undid the three screws involved and carefully removed the slide rail end cap as well as a part in the back that was attached. That was the hairy part. It took a bit of time to remove it since everything seems so brittle but I was careful and got the assembly out without breaking anything. Also had to remove the slide rail and humidity control. Nothing to removing and replacing the slide rail. You just have to put it back correctly oriented. This was easy. I just looked at the one on the left, which I hadn't removed. Most time consuming part was cleaning things that were normally inaccessible, before re-installing.

My Whirlpool Fridge and freezer would not get cold.
My Whirlpool model (GB2FHDXWS09) Fridge and freezer would not get cold. The compressor would turn on for about 5 seconds and turn off. I called parts Direct and they knew it was the Capacitor right away. I also ordered the Start Relay just to replace it as well, that was my choice.

Received the parts super fast. I chose to pay for faster shipping.

Super great place to shop, watch help videos and get the answers you need for what you need. Super happy with everything about this company and the person that helped me on the phone to place the order and confirm I was ordering the right part.

Done and working. Took me about 5 minutes. Everything is plug and play besides taking a few screws off the back.

Thanks Team !

Bryce

The deli drawer on this refrigerator rides on two plastic hinges on the end caps and opens and closes when you slide the drawer in and out. One of the hinge broke off the end cap and would not let the drawer stay in place or operate properly.
I contacted partselct to see if I could get the end caps with new hinges to correct the problem. My customer service contact was very professional and a huge help in helping me select the correct parts. When the parts arrived I was amazed they were genuine whirlpool parts, fit perfectly, and were easy to install. I have other parts to order and will use partselct again. I appreciate everything they did for me to solve this problem.

Left door bar too close to squeeze in seal.
Since it wasn't possible to squeeze the seal in between the door groove and the bar which closes the gap between the two doors, I cut the seal side in half and snaked it in from the top and the bottom. Since the cut is behind the bar when the door is closed there is no compromise in getting a good seal around the door. Note there was no apparent way to easily remove this bar.

Broke the Rocker Switch in Fridge side
Popped out with butter knife and unplugged 3 prong connector and reversed with anew switch.

But, unfortunately it got broken again exactly same way as before.
So, I ordered same switch again for 2nd time.

Maytag should recall that Rocker Switch and build with better materials.

Existing Door gasket was cracked allowing the magnetic strips to fall out
Very easy. Just get hold of the gasket with your strong fingers and pull it out of the groove it is in. Clean the groove, I used Windex and paper towels. On the new gasket there are 2 wide areas on the vertical part. these must be facing toward you and on the handle side of the door. start at the tor center of the door and work the gasket in with your fingers outward to the corners then work on the bottom of the gasket in the same manner, then start on the vertical gaskets. when you think every thing is aligned take your thumbs and press very hard all around. You may have to repeat.

ice maker quit
For this repair, the following YouTube video was most helpful in showing how to remove the ice maker from the refrigerator model that I have: for some reason this site has deleted my video cite but it is the YouTube video cite that ends in 7HHH03SFdCA Next, because the electrical wiring harness part has changed since production, and the new ice maker part comes with two different harness' (you have to determine which one is most similar to the harness that you remove), take a lot of pictures of the old wiring harness before removing it. There are a lot of different wires that need to be reconnected. There was a prior post by "Greg from Aliso Viejo, CA" that I printed out and followed--that post was also very helpful.

Ice tray sticking. No ejection of ice. Motor not working properly
Took out ice maker. Then unscrewed tray after opening old turn motor clock panel and carefully detaching wires from socket(s) where needed. Put in and screwed in new tray with the new motor clock. Replaced wires into new sockets. Put the whole maker back into place. Makes great ice.
