59678339802 Kenmore Refrigerator - Instructions

Repair was tremendously easy. All I did was remove old light switch by prying out with screw driver and plugging in the new light switch and pushing it into the hole. Simple! The instructions weren't needed, but they were very thorough.

I noticed the coils very dusty dirty, tried brushing it clean, ended up blowing it clean. I noticed the condenser fan motor was never turning, I had power, so I ordered a new one. I actual received the evaporator motor, so I had to order the correct one. After changing it, and it started blowing right away. But my refrigerator is still warm. I do not know where the evaporator blower motor is located. I cannot make out from the diagram breakdown. HELP

Pried out the old switch and installed the new switch.

Had to push the light switch to get lamp to light up.
Removed power from refrig. and removed old light switch
and replaced with the one I got from Partselect. Turned power back on and was done.

Unplug refrigerator. Lift and remove cup tray, exposing the two screws. Remove both. Gently pry the plastic bezel/cover from the door facing. Remove the three screws securing the black dispenser/circuit board assembly. Carefully disconnect the three cables from the circuit board (remember how they were routed). Being careful not to lose the spring clip, remove the defective actuator. Place the spring clip on the new actuator post and reattach actuator to the black housing making sure to hook the rear spring clip hook into the hole behind it. Using pliers, pull the front spring clip hook up so that it catches on the assembly post. While the dispenser assembly is off, good time to clean up any dirt, grime, etc from the assembly and door facing. Replace the assembly by reconnecting the three cables and using the three screws. Carefully snap bezel/cover in place and secure with the two screws. Replace cup tray.

Watched a couple of videos. Removed left side hinge first, then did the same to the right side hinge. Part was installed in reverse order. Installation took less than 60 seconds.

The best part of the repair was how easy it was to find and order the part. Instead of searching the parts houses around town I just went to the PartSelect web site, quickly found and ordered the part in about five minutes, received the part the next day at my home and was ready to make the repair. Wow! What a pleasure for something to work the way it was meant to. Removed old switch located by prying out with sharp knife or screwdriver. Don't worry about breaking it or cracking plastic. Disconnect(unplug) wires from back of switch. Replace (plug-in) wires on back of new switch. Insert in location of old switch. Finisheed.

you snap out old part pull waterline out of tube going down to the back and unplug tube on top connection ,,that was tricky ,,revirce for new part but you guy should make the water tube attachment on the water line match what is out there that you buy at the stores .I had to go back 3 times to get the right part to get my water line to connect with yours ..

Watched the video. Everything went great, Super simple

Shut off water supply. filter is located in the upper right hand corner of the refrigerator on the inside. open the drop-down door. by hand pull the filter downward. then twist it to the left one quarter turn. it should pull out. I replaced it with a filter bypass plug. you can purchase a high quality filter to replace.it don't buy cheap filter.I made that mistake! hope this helps good luck!

The entire process took lees than 5 minutes. I simply removed the broken rail, and inserted the new one. Voila! Like new!

I placed the back of the bracket into the slot in the rear of the refrigerator and stretched the front plastic rim on the glass shelf over the front of the new center rail until it snapped into place (all the while hoping I didn't cause further damage to my refridgerator!) and wa-la, piece of cake! My impatience paid off this time!

Pull out the drawers and removed the old rail, place new rail in and return drawers. Like New and took about 3 minutes.
