Broken wheel on leveling roller
I removed one bolt and took out the old roller after first blocking up the fridge. Then I was puzzled for a moment because the hole in the new assembly was not tapped. But then I saw that the old bolt was a self tapping bolt. I used it to tap the hole then removed it and installed the new assembly. No sweat job.

Dawn from RED WING, MN
Parts Used:

Difficulty Level:
Easy
Total Repair Time:
30 - 60 mins
Tools:
Pliers
Broken support on lower drawer shelf.
Important: Do not twist broken stud to remove if possible, just pull with the pliers straight out. I twisted it and made the hole larger. Even so, I just used Gorilla Epoxy glue to secure the new one (follow directions on the package) and it's fixed. It's been a couple days and still looks secure. Thanks for the quick delivery.

Thermostat stopped working. Only cooled at highest setting.
Repair video was excellent but thermostat unit was slightly different then original. Fortunately guessed right regarding connections. Also very difficult to place the insulating plastic on wiring. Not very smooth. Also removing panel was different then in video. Needed to remove the panel to reveal two screws underneath that need to be removed along with the ones at the ceiling.

Therostat needed to be replaced -would not come on again when fridge warmed up
take off the face plate of fridge and follow the cable back to the compartment where fridge and freezer meet. once out, had to remove transluscent cover from thermostat wire - easy and feed that same cover onto the new thermostat. Slow is better and using pliers to force 1/4 to 1/2 inch at a time into the tubing - easier if you have 2 people. After that just put the length back in and insert the controller back in the panel and plug in the electricity again. (to the thermostat). 30 minutes later - cold fridge.

Runaway chilling and thawing - erratic compressor
Synthesized other's comments on similar issues, eliminated those issues NOT applicable. Narrowed what was left and decided on thermostat as first of three likely solutions. Followed other's installation comments and completed a successful replacement. The avaialability of other comments was key to success. Thanks for a great web site. Best clue was the result of slapping the front control panel to start the balking compressor. Not likely to find that in a repair manual.

Two of the parts were broken so the shelf was laying on the drawers so neither could be used effectivly
Pulled out the stud with a wire cutter and replaced it with the exact part you shipped in the kit.

The other 2 parts just slipped on the brackets

Nice thing is now I have extra parts for the other shelf.

Tools:
Socket set, Wrench (Adjustable)
Both front wheels were severly damaged needing replacement.
I tipped the refrigerator back and my friend used an adjustable wrench to attach put the new wheel assembies on. I also used a socket wrench to get the old attacheement bolts to thread. I rolled the cleaned appliance in place and adjusted the wheels with the socket set for easy door closing. It went smoothly.
