froze and cracked
unsrewed the back plate, removed three tubes. Then I removed old valve and replaced with new. Pluged two harnesses back in the new valve. Truned water on and checked for leaks and operated the filtered water tap and the ice maker. All went well.
I really like your site for the pictures included with the part, I like to see what I'm ordering.

Hollow ice cubes or no ice, and trickle into water glass
Followed instructions and installed dual water valve. Did Not Solve Problem! ... Then replaced Water Filter. This fixed "water flow problem" and "no, or hollow" ice cubes.

Insulation was disintegrating.
On the back of the refrigerator, I unscrewed and removed the lower-right panel. As I peeled the insulation off the panel, the insulation would disintegrate, so I used a vacuum-cleaner hose to remove most of the insulation. I removed the remaining adhesive with my fingers. I peeled the backing off the new insulation, and stuck it to the panel.

I had ordered two pieces of insulation, hoping to also replace the insulation behind the compressor, but removing the compressor was complicated and risky, so I returned the second piece of insulation.

Ice maker not making ice
The water valve for the ice maker / front water dispenser was relatively simple to repace. I never used these platic type of connectors to for the platic water tubing, but read a couple articles on how they work - I'm glad I did. To remove the tubing, you have to press the platic rings toward the valve, then the tubing slides right out. Just push the tubing into the ring to seat it. A handful of screws hold the valve and cover in place.
The new valve works, and I have a functioning ice maker again.

The fill tube was freezing up after about 60 days of use.
Pulled the unit from the wall, and unplugged, and turned off the water. Removed the back plate at the bottom of the refrigerator to gain access to the water inlet valve. Disconnected three tubes and two electrical connections and reconnected to the new inlet valve. Reassembled the back plate. Then turned everything back on and checked for leaks. Re-Installed the back plate. This was a fairly easy repair. The only problem I had was getting the water lines off the old valve. It was a bit of a struggle for me. I did watch a couple of you tube videos before I got started.

Valve was cracked and leaking
Removed the screws from the plate holding the valvefrom the frig. Removed the screws holding the valve to the plate. I took a picture with my digital camera before disconnecting any of the tubing or wiring to verify I put everything back the way it's supposed to go. I do this for most repair/replacement projects. Then I disconnected tubing and electrical connectors. Reinstalled new valve.

I simply removed the old dual valve and installed the new one. The lines were a snap to remove and replace. I couldn't be happier with the PartSelect web site and prompt delivery of the part.

Valve was cracked allowing water to spray everywhere when hooked up.
Removed 5 srews with nut driver. Disconnected water lines and cut short piece off old lines. Reconnected water lines and reinstalled screws. Then connected water line to the replacement valve, it works great.

PartSelect.com was the easiest way to obtain this valve. I ordered the part Monday and it arrived Friday. I'm very pleased with their service.

Boyfriends freezer door wouldn’t shut completely
I got really tired of taking food out covered in icicles and stabbing a huge block of ice out of the bottom. Turns out all he needed was a little wheel with cogs and I looked up the sticker model number on this site and clicked the part of the fridge. So simple, wish I would’ve done it sooner.

Water dispenser leaking
Unplugged refrigerator, shut off water supply to unit. Used a 1/4 inch but driver to remove screws holding water valve panel and hose clamps to back of unit. Gloves should be worn as sheet metal often has sharp edges. Note size and position of hoses to valve. A fine point permanent marker is good to mark the tubing. Push tubes into valve and retainer, hold retainer down while pulling hoses out. Remove old valve from panel. Attach new valve to panel. Insert hoses/tubes to valve. Make sure they press into marks made. Now is a good time to open water supply and check for leaks. Screw panel back on. Bleed air by dispensing water, about two gallons should clear lines and filter.

The duel water valve began leaking
Plumber came to stop the water leak and told us it was a bad valve so I ordered the part - thank you Kate! - it was exactly what we needed. Disconnected the old valve (making note on the process) and installed the new valve in reverse process. Turned the water on and dispensed water and it leaked from one of the lines at connection. With the water turned off, my son again with pliers carefully pushed the tubing harder up into the valve and heard/felt it click into place and it has worked like a charm since. Good son and mom team.
