Light Switch Was Faulty--Failed A Few Months After Purchase Of The Refrigerator
I had several times tried to get the old switch out but with no success. Ordered the "repair kit" and followed directions for removing old switch (there is a plastic spring clip on one side). Easy to unplug the old switch, plug the leads into the new one, snap the new one into place. Took about 5 minutes total--piece of cake. I wish I'd thought to try this years ago when the old switch began to fail.

Light Switch Broke
Super simplet to fix. Popped out broken light switch and unplugged it and replaced with new switch. Received the part one day after ordering it from your company--AWESOME SERVICE AND TURNAROUND TIME!!! Saved at least $100 plus in repair costs/trip charge for something we were able to do. Great experience and would order from your company again. Thank you!

ice maker stopped harvesting ice
I checked the trouble shooting guide with the refrigerator and all signs pointed to the Electronic control boards that sense when the ice tray is full. After reading what other customer posted on this site I ordered the parts. I received the parts in two days time and had a harvest of ice within minutes of installing it. Thanks PartSelect. Scott

Ice maker would only make ice intermittantly
I started by viewing the video online showing how to make the repair. I then unplugged the fridge, taped the cover of the icemaker up out of the way. It was then a matter of removing three screws on both the emitter and receiver sides of the freezer and two screws each to remove the boards. I uplugged the modular plugs from each board and then reversed the proceedure. Icemaker is now working like new.

My refrigerator light did not work.
After years of using a flash light to check the contents of my refrigerator, I decided to try to fix the problem myself. Replacing the light switch was very easy. The directions were straight forward and I'm sorry I waited so long to tackle the problem.

Ice Maker stopped making Ice.
Opened freezer section of refergerator and taped Ice Maker cover door in the open position to remove emitter and receiver boards. Unscrewed the phillips head screws that secure the emitter board housing to the refrigerator side wall. Turned off power to the refrigerator and unpluged the emitter, removed the 2 screws that hold the emitter board against the housing and removed it, then I installed the new emitter board in the housing by screwing it in place. Repeated same process for removal and replacement of the receiver board. The whole process took me about 10 minuets.

Ice maker was not working (door ice container)
1. I first confirmed that the problem was a bad Infrared Ice making control board (Watched flashing of red light on right side of freezer - solid light would not occur when holding flap on left side of freezer). 2. I unplugged refridg,3. unscrewed both sides of the control unit and disconnected wire clips to the electronic boards. 4.popped in new Boards on both sides and connected clips onto each board. 5. Screwed the boards and covers to walls of freezer. 6. Plugged power back into wall and checked Red light again (when holding flap in, a continuous red light verified it would work). closed freezer and shortly ice was being made. Simple process. (careful using Screwdriver to help take wire off of boards - a small clip holds wire clip on - you need to stick screwdriver into back of clip while unconnecting). Easy and my ice worked perfectly.

No ice production.
We had cleaned the electronic eyes off several times which yielded one or two days of ice production. Since we could tell the ice maker was receiving water and producing ice we went ahead and replaced the controller. Now the ice maker is working like a champ. The instructions were easy to follow and the part was delivered quickly. Unplugged the fridge. Three screws on opposite sides of the freezer, plug in the emitter and receiver boards and replace the screws. Plug the fridge back in and away it went.

Broken light switch
Used the butter knife to pry the old switch out, it is a snap in switch so there is a small keeper on the bottom that needs to be pushed in to pop the switch out. Un hooked wires by pulling them off of the terminals (won't shock you) and put them on the new switch and popped it in
