RCE24VGBBFBB General Electric Refrigerator - Instructions

There are three holes under the front panel in which you push a very small screwdriver in and the front panel comes off.In back of the panel is another panel with 4 screws .1 at each corner.Remove the 4 screws and that will come off exposing the working parts that need to be replaced.This is also a good time to clean anything you can get to in that area.It is very important to remember how everything came out.

1. Emptied the crisper pan,
2. Removed it from the refrigerator,
3. Flipped it upside down,
4. Removed the old one by pulling it off,
5. Replaced it with the new OEM part. and
6. Reversed the process.

I took out the old bins just as when you take them out to clean them. And then I replaced the bins with the new ones.

Very easy novice could do

Cut out cracked tubing between valve and where tubing enters into refrigerator. Cut new tubing to length and attach to existing using union.

remove the front plate. use screwdriver to pry the cover off from the bottom of the cover, remove the wiring from the front cover.remove the 4 screws and pull out the shute. remove three screws from the solonide and replace . very easy fix. save yourself $100.00 labor.

after replacing the door seal, I couldn't get the new seal to close and stay closed, so I replaced the closing arm and spring. The door will close now but not tightly and it's loosing cold air. So I made and patented a wooden block to put behind the freezer door handle and the refrigerator door handle to keep the doors closed. Available in black, white and natural tan. (just kidding about the patented part, but not the block)

Followed instruction video. Replaced water tank, flushed line from house water. Reconnected line and cycled until tank filled. I have ice and water now.

Firmly but gently pulled apart both sides of module shelf to release the damaged clear insert. It came out very easy as there are two tabs, one on each side that fit into the module shelf. Did the same thing to install the new insert. It took 2-3 minutes to complete. Very Easy. Part #PS2323441 fit my older GE fridge perfectly.

First:
Remove all shelf’s and drawers from fridge inside that were on the way of the water tank
Second:
Pull the fridge from the wall
Turn off the water supply:
Unplugged the power supply
Third:
Remove the cardboard cover at bottom of the fridge on the back for better access to the water pipes
From the front remove the toe kick for better access at the water pipes
Disconnected the water pipe at the front left side, use a rag or paper towel to hold the water that may drip ( bigger pipe)
Remove the covers on the top of the water tank inside the fridge
Disconnected the water pipe at the back left side ( smaller pipe)
Unscrew the water tank (two screws)
Pull the water tank out with the water pipes attached
Fourth:
Install the new water tank assembly , make sure the pipes goes on the hole at the right side and reaches the from and back
Connect pipes until the line that shows on the pipes
Screw back the new water tank
Put the protections back on the top
Plug the fridge and open the water supply to make sure there is no water leaks
The water is ready to be use

follow the easy instructions replace 3 temperature sensors cut the wires and crimp them with new sensor and it works like new

Take off all , then install.. following the version..

took off the front panel, removed the auger and front piece, removed the pin and spring and installed them on to the new piece and then put everything back together

Like I said I was getting too much ice. Typed it in on google and this site was one of the listings. I went to your site and found out the ice crusher cover was broken. The broken pieces in my glass with the ice cubes was another indication but I didn't know what it was called. I watched the video before ordering and I figured I could do this so I ordered the part. 3 days later it was here so I took the ice bin out of the freezer and let it get warmed up like the guy said in the video. I watched the video while the part warmed up. Now its time to start. I kepted the video on the computer screen just in case. I took my time and about 30 min I was making ice again. removed ice bucket from frig. removed screws to dis assemble the box to get to the auger assembly,removed stripped nut replaced reassembled be care not to let the rest of the assembly fall from auger there are a lot of blades and spacers to try to get back to proper position.
