Ice bucket and auger came fully assembled. Just had to attach the face plate from the broken ice bucket assembly and slide it into the freezer. There were only four Phillips screws involved.

Needed complete ice bucket assembly
Since Parts Select was unable to cross reference to another part I myself checked out all other web sights and did my own cross reference. I found a matching compatable ice bucket number and bought that ice bucket from part select I got it quickly and put it in.

rusty auger tainting ice
It was so easy! I seldom attempt any household repair because I have a husband that can fix anything, but he was not available. One screwdriver & remove 4 screws attaching the existing front to old auger/bucket. Line up the screw holes on new bucket with old front, put the 4 screws in through those holes tighten screws & I was done.

auger and bucket neded to be changed because of rust which caused the auger and other metal parts to rust which created an unpleasant odor in ice and freezer. to
The part arrived promptly but was defective. Upon learning of the problem by PartSelect a new part was shipped and was delivered incredibly quickly. Installing it was easy and took only about 5 minutes. We were pleased with the speed in sending the parts and the ease of installation. We will call on them again if necessary because of their good business practices.

Ice Dispenser Door Seal not sealing, frost in freezer
Googled how to replace the door seal, ordered parts and replaced the door seal flapper. The video on partselect was not correct for this GE model. However a simple diagran showed you simply remove the control panel directly (pops off) to provide access to the panel. Remove the 4 screws holding the panel, replace the door seal, and reassemble.
