Water dispenser stopped working
Changed out the double outlet valve which was pretty easy, after getting the right one, had the wrong part number for the first valve, not PartSelects fault, but still no water. Before changing valve, ice maker stopped making ice, figured the valve went bad on both points. After changing valve, got ice but still no water. Now what? Pulled the front cover off the freezer door where you get ice and water and found the bracket, } that holds the micro switch that works the water valve broken and the switch dangling. I screwed the switch back to the spacer between it and the frame and glued the spacer to the frame with plastic crazy glue.Got water!

Water relay Valve leak
Rolled the fridge away from the wall, unplugged the unit from the wall outlet, and removed the back panel by taking out the 6 1/4" nuts that held it in place. Vacuumed the dirt and dust out, and sneezed viscously for 2 minutes. Removed the 3/16th nut holding the water relay. removed the inlet water line, and quickly replaced it. dried off, then went down stairs and turned off the saddle valve. mopped up the water, then removed the water inlet valve. Removed the 2 water lines to the unit (Ice and water feeds) and removed the 2 wire connectors. reversed the process in installation, except the drying myself off part, and sneezing from the dust and dirt.

ice maker filler hose freezing and dripping water down back of freezer
It went exactly like the repair video showed. I removed the back cover, unhooked the water lines, unplugged the electric connections, and replaced the valve. That video made it super easy and it is now working like it should.

Replacing the water valve was easy - the video was excellent. However, the problem was not solved - no water even after replacing the water valve. Anyone have any other thoughts?

Refrigerator making lots of noise in freezer
Since the mechanisms were in the freezer icemaker area, we deduced it was the fan motor. Ordered that from your store and it was delivered to our door in two days. Great service.
The part was replaced and our refrigerator has been quiet for the first time since we moved in almost four years ago and the refrigerator was new.

Water valve had frozen & broken - unrepairable
very simple repair.....push two hoses into compression fittings on the bottom, plug two wire harnesses into the back, and put a screw into the front to attach to the refridgerator frame. After that, just turn water back on and plug it in. Ran great.
Part also came in quicker than expected......which was a definate plus.

I had no water being dispensed from the door, but had ice!
After confirming that a frozen water line was not my issue, I confidently bought this item and installed it within minutes after receiving it! It is easy to install - just close the connection to your refrigerator, open the rear lower panel, disconnect the water tubings and electrical connectors. Reverse that - you have the installation. Plug the refrigerator back on, turn the water back on for the refrigerator - and observe for any leaks. If no leaks - try dispensing water. Working great for me! My refrigerator's model is a GE, model # zfsb26dnass.

Ice maker was overflowing.
This repair is EXTREMELY easy to conduct even for the novice. The first step was to shut off the water supply at the wall, and disconnect the power cord to the refrigerator. Remove the six panel screws to remove the lower back panel. On the lower left hand side is the water valve. This is connected by only one screw, so that was removed. Compare your new valve with the one you are removing to double check that the units are the same. Disconnect the inlet water supply line and connect it to the new unit. Disconnect the two water outlet lines from the old unit and connect to the new unit. Finally, disconnect the two power plugs from the old unit and connect to the new unit. These are all colored coded or different sizes, so there is no way to fowl this up! I just recommend disconnecting and reattaching one at a time so that you are doubly assured you are doing this correct. Reattach the valve unit back onto the side of the refrigerator. At this point, I turned on the power and water supply to check for leaks. Also, have someone run the water in the ront panel dispenser to ensure things are working properly. Once that is completed, reinstall the back panel and you are done. I did this project about two weeks ago, and things are working great now. Saved a lot of time and money by doing this job myself.

Unit would make ice, but would not dispense water
Simple repair. I first shut off the water supply to the unit. I then removed back cover from lower part of the unit. The water valve is on the lower left side. I began by removing the screw on the bracket that holds the part in place. This screws into the back of the unit. I then disconnect the water line by unscrewing the fitting. Then unplugged the two electrical connections in the back of the unit. Lastly, remove the two hoses that plug into the bottom of the the unit. The installation was essentially the reverse of the the removal. The whole process took about ten minutes.
