F45PR22CW0 Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

Having tried PartSelect.com before, I was very comfortable with the process. Input my symptoms and the feed back I received was that one of the 2 things (Defrost Timer or Defrost Thermostat)might need replacement. Since the cost was not much and over night shipping would cost more than the product, I decided to order both the parts. Changing parts was a breeze. The instructions posted by others on your web site were very easy to follow. You guys save me a bundle every time I have any thing going worng with any of my appliances.

Based on the website I decided it was most probably the defrost timer, and that was correct. I ordered it, watched the video, and two days later the part was at my door. Took the nut driver, removed 4 screws, then removed the old defrost timer, installed the new one, re-installed the whole plastic assembly with the four screws, and done!!! Couldn't have been easier.

I was able to make the repair in very little time, took longer to empty the refrigerator and remove the broken pieces than it did to install the new ones. I originally ordered some incorrect items and was amazed at the quickness of receiving the correct pieces --- I have already recommended you to several friends and will definitely use you again should the need arise.

Found the part on this site ordered and received part in 3 days. Took approx. 10 min to replace. Thanks for the quick service.

Unplugged fridge, opened the door, used flat head screwdriver to pop off old switch, unplugged wires, plugged in new switch, popped it back in, and plugged the fridge back in. 2 minute fix.

I used a small screwdriver to pry the tabs of the front glass panel loose, and then slid it upward and out of the broken storage drawer. Then I slid the panel into the front slots of the new drawer and pushed in an evenly downward manner until it snapped in place. It was an easy task and now we have a new drawer that slides smoothly.

We took the door off and replaced the pastic washer. Found out that the repair people never informed us that the door itself has a bit damaged so this repair would have to be done over and over. Nice way for them to make money off us.
We were able to fix it so that it will last a LONG time. Sometimes it realy can pay to do-it-yourself!

Removed old pan and cleaned all surfaces and reinstalled new pan.

I had a fridge that was not working food was melting in the freezer, Beer was warm. You get the picture anyway using your site I found the parts needed to to fix the issue in fact I ordered two parts one fixed the issue 50% and the other like 30% of the time! both parts with overnight shipping were cheaper than 1 part if purchased at our local appliance part outlet:) not to mention the cost of a repair person. Removed everything from the door. Removed all the screws from the door and took off the door panel. Laid panel out and fit gasket on it and then put it back on starting at the top. Used hair dryer to remove kinks from gasket from shipping. Everything went well. I left the door attached to the refigerator. There would be no way in my opinion to put the gasket on by just loosening the screws as the instructions stated. Its just too hard to get the gasket in that way. But taking the inside door panel; off worked well.

A little research told me the hum plus no cooling was either the compressor or the relay. I ordered the new relay and put it in but it didn't fix the problem. I ended up having to buy a new fridge, but it was worth the $30 gamble to see if I could fix it on the cheap and it saved me the money a service call would've cost. Pretty easy installation, just in a tight space on my model.

Replaced defrost timer & thermostat.

The old drawer front needed to be carefully pried off with a plastic bladed screwdriver. The front simply slides onto the new drawer and is tapped into place with a rubber mallet.

Most impressive was the literally one-day standard (not overnight) delivery!

I'm a widow and thought I'd need my son's help to fix this. I did not. I pulled out & emptied the broken lower drawer, tapped the plastic cover off against the countertop, washed the plastic cover, snapped it into the new drawer, filled it & put it into the fridge. 7 Minutes, tops - most of that time spent emptying the old drawer. I can't believe I waited as long as I did to fix this drawer; it was ridiculously easy.

Ordered a new defroster timer and replace old one. It works just fine. A $35 repair vs a $500 new appliance.
