Easy peasy.
Easy repair. Great part. The hardest part was removing the fridge lower exterior door so I could get access to the icemaker. A couple of youtube videos later I realized loosen a screw, slide the icemaker out and unplug slide the new icemaker in and plug-in making sure the water spout was accurately over the water receptacle for the icemaker. Several hours later I was up to my eyeballs in beautiful clear ice cubes. Highly recommend.

THE GASKET LOCKING INSERT DID NOT FIT THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR.
I REMOVED THE OLD GASKET BEING VERY CAREFUL TO SEE EXACTLY HOW IT CAME OFF. I INSERTED THE LOCKING INSERT INTO THE TRACK IN THE DOOR WHICH DID NOT FIT AS THE OLD ONE DID. AFTER USING TREMENDOUS FORCE WITH MULTIPLE TOOLS I DID MANAGE TO GET THE TOP AND THE SIDES TO LOCK INTO PLACE AND EVENTUALLY HOLD. THE BOTTOM OF THE GASKET DID NOT HOLD SO I USED CLEAR CAULK AND TAPE TO HOLD THE GASKET IN UNTIL THE CAULK CURED. AFTER THE CAULK CURED THE GASKET HAS, SO FAR, REMAINED TIGHT.

Filter would not seat without releasing itself.
Following previous installation instructions was very useful. Would add that the nut driver needs to be 1/4 in and to release the water lines from the valve body, simply squeeze the blue ring toward the valve and pull on the water lines at the same time. Simple fix!

Installed new inverter
Secured bracket. Attached electrical contact to the compressor. Secured inverter to bracket.
Problem: the electrical contact cords are very short, therefore it wa difficult to reach the compressor. Even after connecting to the compressor, the cords are under stress.
However, the refrigerator is working fine.

ICE WOULDN'T DISPENSE FROM ICE BOX
I read other suggestions trying isolate auger motor shaft with pliers while turning bar drive. needle nose pliers could hold the shaft. bar drive just would spin. so took the whole ice box assembly out
(only 2 screws) and with a metal cutting blade used the sawzall to cut along the shaft. freed it up enough to then unscrew it from that point. Left handed threads by the way.

Ice Maker not getting any water
1). Shut off water supply to fridge. 2). Move fridge out to gain access to back of fridge. 3). Remove poly line to water tube have a glass handy to catch any remaining water that might be in line. Some may have a foam insulating washer around water tube remove it first. 4). My Sears-Kenmore was a twist lock water tube have to turn it to left or right depending on brand to remove tube. 5). After removing make sure tube didn't just have water frozen in tube ( that was my problem ) run it under hot water frozen piece will come out. 5). Problem fixed, reverse directions to re-install tube!

Water was leaking where filter fit into filter base
I was able to take away the trim covering the parts with a nutdriver. The base was disconnected using a phillips head screwdriver. The only real issue was how to disconnect the plastic water lines from the old base and connect them to the new one. I finally realized I just had to cut the lines where they entered the filter base because they would not pull out. I then finally understood that to install them into the new base I just had to push them in securely. The lines were long enough to do this but probably would not be long enough to install another filter base. In that event I do not know what all would have to be done. The leak had been going on for years (it only leaked when water was running to the ice machine or water dispenser). It is great having it repaired and we hope to get quite a few more years out of this old fridge.
