Light wouldn't always come on when door was opened.
Removed the 6 screws that held the panel up, pulled the panel down. Removed the wires on the old switch. Pulled out the old switch, and pushed the new one back in place. Attached the 2 wires, pushed panel back into place and installed the 6 screws. Pluged back in and light works every time the door is opened now.

The old door handle had cracked and was about to snap off the door.
I removed the old door handle with a screwdriver and simply replaced it with the new door handle. I put the "Amana" name plate from the old door handle into the new one. Took less than 15 minutes. Very, very pleased. Plus the ivory color matches pretty well with a refrigerator that is more than 15 years "young". :)

The plastic part just got old and crumbeled..so it wouldn't fit.
First I couldn't get it back..due to eye problems so i gave it to my husband and he just did it in a flash..you set it under the glass and put the drawers or crispers back in and its done.

Glass shelf over lower bins shattered when being washed in the kitchen sink.
Initially replaced the shelf with clear plastic. Then, after some time, decided to "do it right" and use glass. Found PartSelect by surfing the Internet and was elated to find the exact part needed rather than having to have glass custom cut. The glass shelf arrived quickly, was packed very well, and was simply installed. We were very happy to find this solution.

Burned out socket, right side of refrigerator compartment.
I was changing a defective bulb and somehow the hot lead for the socket got grounded, and arched. This made the socket defective. I simply took out the defective socket and replaced it with the new one I ordered. Working fine now. PCH
