Replaced the frame

plugged the two wires in and snapped the switch into it's socket.

I have never used the ice maker because I have a well and didn't want to usewell water to make ice. I usually make ice with bottled water.
I decided to try making ice with gravity fed water from a converted water fountain placed on a higher level than the refrigerator, locater in my garage next to the kitchen.
When I looked at the rear of the frig. I saw a copper pipe (on the bottom of the frig.) that lead to a valve, with a plastic tube that went to the freezer. I didn't think that the gravity fed water could go down to the bottom and return to the freezer at the top, so I cut the plastic tube, and fed the water directly to the ice maker.
I only put a small amount of water in my water source because I wasn't shure what would happen. The water filled the tray and the rest of the water went to the container that catches the ice.
I did get one tray of ice. I later found that the valve that the copper pipe went to, has a 7 minute timer that only allows a small amount of water to pass.
My next effort will be to connect to the copper pipe and see if it will allow the gravity fed water to rise to the ice maker. Wish me luck

Went online to find a diagram for my particular model, found it, removed frezzer panel to gain access to the evaporator assy, performed a continuity test to the deffrost end cycle thermostat, found it open, ( out of range) on my dvom, at 25 deg., I should have had continuity, performed continuity test to heater assy. had continuity present, installed a new end deffrost cycle thermostat assy, tested, works great.

watched the video how to remove, and did it.

Remove plastic hinge cover (phillips screwdriver). With door closed, remove ground wire (phillips screwdriver). Remove broken hinge (nut driver). Route wires through split in hinge body. Route wire through new hinge body. Install new hinge (nut driver). Install ground wire. Install plastic cover. Entire job took less than five minutes.

Popped out the old one......plugged in the new one and popped it back into place. My wife was happy in have light again in the fridge!

Initially thought I could repair switch, but then discovered spring was broken. Ordered the new switch (Parts Select is very efficient - received switch in 3 days). Was encouraged by the posts regarding the switch installation. I had some difficulty removing the old switch. Used a pocket knife to ease the switch out of the hole to reveal the clip/spring. After noting the clip/spring location I used a small flat-blade screwdriver to release the clip. Even though I released the "molded" clip/spring(be sure to note where the spring is on the new switch and release it on the switch it was tight in the hole and had to use pliers to carefully remove the old switch. After removing the old switch, used pliers to gently remove the wire leads. Then install the leads on the new switch. Note the orientation for replacing the switch and gently feed the connecting wires into the hole so they won't kink or prevent the switch from entering the hole. Install the switch noting the clip/spring location and the orientation of the lever that the door closes on to turn off the light. Be sure to put it in without binding at an angle. pulled the old one out and slid the new one in. Even I did this right. If I can do it anyone can do it. The only thing I worried about was if I ordered the wrong Crisper Pan.

I watched the online video and followed the directions. The only thing that was not obvious (and this is where the video saved several minutes)was how to remove the upper part from the door. This repair makes the door seals much more effective and should reduce the compressor run time. I have to compliment you on your prices and speed in getting the parts to me...great service!

First My Frig side of the double door unit wasn't closing on its own. Kids don't look, so they walk away...next thing you know the frig warms up and the freezer starts to frost up from running so long...Now it won't shut off.... I checked the hinge and sure enough it was wore down. Now mind you, I ordered a hinge kit first without checking to see what type I needed...don't do that...Less than 15 mins you can take the door off and see which one you need.As soon as I saw which type of hinge set I needed I went and ordered it...returned the other one. It came pretty quick.... 15 mins had that sucker changed and working... But... the door still wouldn't close on its own... Common sense told me the heat from the frosted freezer caused the door and frig walls to swell... Yes I said the heat... When the component in the freezer frosts up it does not keep the frig cool, nor will the freezer stay kool... the frost prevents the cool air from moving around...thus "HEAT".... It took a full 24 hrs for my frig n freezer to get back to normal... and now the door closes just fine... MIND YOU! I had to take the covers off the freezer unit inside, then take a steamer and melt all that frost off of every inch including down the drain... That took me a good 5-6 hours... and what a mess.... but it was worth my time.... because I don't have to replace my second hand Jenn-Air which I could never afford to buy brand new.... Whew....what we have to do to keep things going... $11 bucks worth of parts.... "Super Mom" :o)

Super simplet to fix. Popped out broken light switch and unplugged it and replaced with new switch. Received the part one day after ordering it from your company--AWESOME SERVICE AND TURNAROUND TIME!!! Saved at least $100 plus in repair costs/trip charge for something we were able to do. removed the broken bin, which was extrememely easy and set in the new one, equally as easy. The telephone staff were extremely helpful, and courteous, especially John, who took a great amount of time helping me find the correct part. Thank all of you.
