Bake Element in Oven
Quite easy and takes 5 minutes Remove racks from oven. Use a phillips screwdriver and remove 1 screw from each side of baking element. Gently pull baking element slowly or carefully so you do not damage wires, insulation around wires or so they don't come off element before you can reach them. With a pliers, hold the metal clip attached to wire and pull off of baking element. Make sure wire will not go back into back of stove. Pull off opposite side wire in same manner. Take new element, check the orientation of the element, make sure it it going in correct, and slide wire clip onto one end of element. Do the same thing with the other wire on opposite side. Carefully feed wire back into openings in oven while placing element back in oven.. Replace screws on each side of element to hold in place. Turn oven on so make sure it element is heating. I left my oven on 400 degrees to burn off anything that may have been on the new element during manufacturing so it would not leave or transfer an odor to food when using the next time.
