Heard a crackling and popping noise when I turned on the oven
After figuring I'd have to buy a new oven, I figured out that it was the lower baking element. When I received the new part, I removed the two screws holding the element on. Gently pulled the element off the back oven wall and removed the wire connectors. Put the new element in place - rehooked the wire connectors and it works like new. The light bulb replacement was as simple as screwing in the new light bulb. Thanks, saved me alot of money.....

Old Bake element gave little heat
The part came as promised & and it was exactly the right part! I turned off the breaker to the oven (the oven has a clock and timer on it too). Unscrewed the 2 screws with a Phillips screw-driver and carefully removed the old part - being very careful to be safe and not make a big mess. It was easy to disconnect the wires and get the old element out. Then connected the wires to the new element, placed into position, screwed in the 2 screws, and turned on the breaker. It worked great. Then set the clock because it was 13 minutes slow!

burned oven bulb
The hardest part was taking out original light bulb because screws on shield where hard to unscrew after all this years . The old bulb vent out leaving neck in socket. It took narrow electrical pliers to get neck out .The generic appliance bulb did not fit and had aluminum neck ,not recommended for brass sockets in ovens.Putting new light bulb in was not the problem.

My heating element had been melted through by some type of food and was severed into 2 metal peices. It could no longer be used without dangerous consequences.
I got my part in the mail and FIRSTLY, unplugged the entire stove from the wall. I unscrewed the old part from the front, took the panels off the back, and disconnected the element from the yellow and red wires.I removed the old part completely from the stove. I then put the new part in, reconnected the wires, screwed the part into the oven, then BEFORE putting the back paneling on, I tested it. The new element works like a dream. I then, put the paneling back on & was finished!
BE SURE WHEN YOU BUY TO CHECK WATTAGE OF YOUR OVEN TO YOUR ELEMENT. Voltage doesn't matter because most voltage is the same in any house you live in...
