Broken element in the upper oven
Removing the backplate afforded easy access to the element connections. A few screws inside the oven hold the element in place.

Care needs to be taken not to scratch the floor when the stove is slid out to get at the back of it. I put lexan strips on the floor for the feet to slide on.

oven would bake but not broil
removed rear screws, then the top bracket. (I should have turn off the circut breaker...got a little spark) Turn off the breaker, used the pliers to remove connectors and to pull an extra length of wire out to make sure it would not get lost inside the oven frame.
Wires back on, screws in and fired it up! All Good!

Top broiler element in top oven burned out. It was in several pieces when it was removed.
I removed the two screws that hold the element in place on the back wall of the oven. I also had to remove the the bracket holding the element to the top inside of the oven. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. I then installed the new element and reversed the steps. It now works like new.

The repair went well. It was very easy. My husband removed the old element, rmoved the screws at the back of the oven, also the electrical connections. then put the new element in place connected the electrical clips, put the screws in place and the installation was complete. A screwdrive was all that was needed.

Lower bake element quit working.
Removed the oven door (very simple) removed oven racks. Using an ordinary phillips screwdriver removed the two(2) metal screws holding the element. Carefully pulled the element out far enough to disattach the two flat bladed electrical wires, being careful not to let the wires fall back inside the oven wall.Install the new element in the exact reverse order. Even if the two wires should slip back inside the oven wall it would be a simple matter to remove the 6 metal screws holding the rear cover of the range to retrieve the wires.... All told it was a very simple and quick repair job. Best of all there was no repair man fee.

"Hot burner" Light always On
It's easier with two people.
1 - Turn the breaker for the range to OFF
2 - Verify power is off by testing the burners and lights
3 - Remove front two screws above oven door jamb
4 - Lift the top and prop it up with the spoon, or have your helper hold it.
5 - Loosen the screw at the rear of the bracket that holds the elements against the glass top (front and rear are held by the same retainer)
6 - Remove the bad element by sliding it sideways from the retainer. Do not disconnect things yet.
7 - The burner has numbers around the edge. Move brackets from old element to new one, matching the numbers. Then move wiring to new element. New burner may have a single connector where old one had 2 and a jumper. If so, ignore jumper.
8 - Slide new element under bracket and reinstall the screw.
9 - Lower the range top and re-install the screws.
10 - Turn on power and test.
