First, I removed the oven door by pulling it open to where it loocked and then I pulled it up and off the hinges. Second, I removed the two screws on the top of the door and three screws on the bottom ot the door which allowed me to remove the front of the door. Third, using a nut driver, I removed the frame holding the inner glass to the door and removed that. Fourth, I removed the frame holding the broken glass to the door by removing the screws using my nut driver. I carefully removed the broken glass and vacuumed the channel that had the gasket in it. The gasket was fine so I did not have to replace it and will return it. I placed the glass in the frame on the gasket and reassembled the door in reverse order of how I had disassembled. All went smooth as silk.

The hardest part was taking out original light bulb because screws on shield where hard to unscrew after all this years . The old bulb vent out leaving neck in socket. It took narrow electrical pliers to get neck out .The generic appliance bulb did not fit and had aluminum neck ,not recommended for brass sockets in ovens.Putting new light bulb in was not the problem.

replaced light socket but did not repair problem. must have burned the motherboard.

I'll tell you.......PartSelect said the items would take from 3-5 days.....I got them in 48 hrs. I turned the breaker to the oven off. I unscrewd two screws from the back of the oven and pulled the element out and took it off of two connectors. Repeated the same with the broiler element. Job done saved $200.00...Job was quoted at $259.00

Screwed in light bulb and glass protector

I unplugged the stove/oven then unscrewed the bottom element (two screws in the back). I pulled the two electrical clips off the old bake element then removed it. I pushed the electrical clips on the new back element then screwed it back in. After plugging the oven back in and turning it on the oven worked perfectly!

inside the oven removed 2 screws from the element . reversed the process to re install the new part

Unplug power cord, remove wires from block. take 2 screws out. replace with new block about 15 mins. Done

Shut off circuit breaker to stove. Removed oven racks from oven. Removed two phillips head screws located at the base of the bake element at the back of the oven. Gently pull the element toward the front of the oven until the wiring connected to the element by spade connections can be reached. I used a pair of pliers to help separate the element from the wiring. Removed disfunctional element from oven. Sweep out the bottom of the stove with a dustpan & brush. Lay the new replacement element on the bottom of the oven. Connect element to wiring via spade connectors. Gently feed the wires back thru the holes until the the tips of the element follow thru the wire holes until the base of the element is flat against the back of the oven. Screw in screws thru the base to the back of oven - tighten tight. Reset cir brkr. Test oven.

Turned off CB for the oven,Remove the oven from the cabinet , remove the back of the oven, replaced the light Assembly. turned on CB for the oven, tested the light. and truned off the CB and replace the back and reinstalled the oven in the cabinet.

I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. It was that easy. Simply remove two phillips screws, unplug and replug. Thanks to the quality parts I bought here it saved me $65.00 on the part alone. Locally $85.00 plus shipping.

My handyman removed the old burnt our element by removing two screws and disconnected two wires and reconnected wire and screwed the unit into the oven wall. This repair was a breeze! Thanks for making my life easier!
