replace broken bake element
Unplugged the range. Took our the oven shelves. Unscrewed the bars holding the broken bake element to the back of the oven wall. Gently pulled out the wiring to which the bake element is attached. Slipped the ends of the broken bake element off the ending on the wiring. Then slipped the ends of the new bake element over the ends on the wiring. Then pushed the wiring with attached bake element back into their position behind the oven wall and attached the bars holding the bake element to the back of the oven wall. This is really easy because it is exactly like the on-line video, for I am a 75 year old female with little technical experience.

Replaced Burned-out Cooktop Element
Exact fit, but read the instructions! Male connectors on element are labeled 1A 1B 2A 2C, very faintly etched in the ceramic. Even though the old and new elements look the same (and I took photos to aid installation), the connector locations are different -- 1A on the old element is where 2B on the new one is, etc. Used included extension wire for one that would not reach with the new configuration and everything works perfectly.

No Bake, only Broil
POWER OFF! Unplugged oven from wall.
(Note: I found it easier to disconnect the wires from the element by removing the rear cover. Fumbling around inside the oven was getting me nowhere.)
Removed rear cover.
Disconnected old element.
Unscrewed the old element from inside the oven, removed, and installed the new element. Screwed the new element in place.
Reconnected wires in back, installed the back cover.
Connected power.
Tested. Good as new.

Lower element out-oven wouldn't heat
I removed the two screws at the rear of the oven and pulled out the existing element, plugged in the new element, pushing it back in place and mounted the screws back in the bracket. I then made the "Tim the Tool Man" grunt noises feeling very proud that I am now officially a Handy Woman!

Bake element burned out
Very simple fix--unpugged two fittings in the back of oven plugged in the new element and it was done. The Best part was that the element burned out on a Sunday and I ordered the part that day and it shipped on Monday and received part on Wed AM.This is the second time I've had to replace the element and by ordering through Part Select I saved $24.00 versus buying it from an appliance store.

lens light was broken and missing.
Removed the cooktop using screwdriver. Pushed lens-light into cooktop hole.It was difficult to do and was where I spent most of my time. Next time I will spray bottom of lens- light with silicon so it goes in easier. I stood cooktop up on its side and inserted the red light assembly onto the lens-light. Reinstalled cooktop
and turned electrical power on.
and turned electrical power on.

my stovetop light did not work
We actually had to get the repairman back that had repaired our microwave. Our range has the attached microwave above the range. My stovetop light worked prior to the visit. When he left, I prepared supper without the light, which did not go on. Ultimately, we had to replace the fluorscent tube, which thankfully, you had. No appliance store in a 35 mile radius did. We finally got the glass protector off, and the new tube did not go on. Back to the repairman, to tell him the new bulb did not work and that probably something happened when he visited before. He came back, found that indeed a wire had been broken when he was working on the microwave. I had indicated to him I did not expect to pay another repair bill after I had alrealy spent 117. before plus the cost of the new bulb, 22. something including shipping. He obliged and id not charge me anythink to repair the broken wire.
Now I have the old bulb for back up!!!
Thank you for having my replacement tube!!

Oven quit in the middle of cooking the Christmas turkey. Fortunately we have a smaller oven on the top which finished the job. (a few hours late, but after a few cocktails and more visiting, it really worked out fine!)
I was blown away by how easy it was to order and receive this replacement part. I went on the web on Christmas afternoon, Googled "Magic Chef" and found your website. Your ordering process could not be easier (including the on-line drawings and all). I selected the lowest cost shipping method "3-5 days." Wednesday evening, I got your e-mail with the tracker. Thursday afternoon the part arrived! Saturday, we opened the oven, took out the old unit, and put in the new. It worked fine! Thanks again!!

element actualy was broken somehow
first I removed the 2 screws, I then pulled the element out., accidently lost one of the wire in the insulation and had to take the back panel off which was 8 screws. Probably doubled my time. I received my part in 4 days thanks to good service and FedX It arrived the day before Thanksgiving. Just in time, Thank You All.
