1. isolate the main power supply. 2. remove backplate on old element,remove connecting terminals from old element; and withdraw from oven. 3. connect new element[make sure the connection is firm].replace backplate and secure with the two screws provided. switch on power, oven working perfectly.

A friend gave me your website. I looked up the model (is over 30 years old & obsolete!), but you listed a similar model. Part fit perfect, works great, heats to set temp quickly. Your do-it-yourself page was a big help...thanks! Replacement went quick and easy after I saw what needed to be done.

Looked up mfg. and part #,looked at blow up of stove on parts select, identified element. The part came overnite. Shut down power, removed 2 screws with a nut driver, pulled element foreward to reveal 2 screws attaching wires. Replaced in reverse order, turned on power, back in service. 10 minutes tops.

It is simple.

Cut off the power. Remove racks. Remove burned out element and replace with new one.

Replace racks and turn on the power. Set the clock.

I've done this about 5 times and now keep a spare element.

removed the element with 2 screws. disconected element with 2 screws. reversed order to install new element.

Shopped online for a good price for the heating element. Thw element came very quickly, very good packaging. Removed and replaced the element.

Turned off the breaker. Removed 2 screws and pulled the element from encasement. Removed 2 screws holding the wires to the element.
Reversed the process to install the new coil.
Done in 10 minutes

The repair was a snap! Unscrew the two small bolts holding the back of the element in place. Pull out the element so that the connectors and wires are accessible. Unscrew the two wires from the element. Remove old element. Place new element in oven. Attach the two wires to the new element (two screws), place the new element in position and replace the two small bolts that were removed at the beginning. All done. Best thing? This is a 20 year old oven, GE didn't even have the part I needed. You did! Thanks.

Unscrewed face plate, unscrewed electric wires hooked to element. Cleaned out oven while I was in there...nice and clean now. Installed new element same way I took it out. Easy as 'pie'..which we'll be baking again now that the oven works.

Removed access screws from bake element cover, removed screws retaining wire connections on bake element, reverse procedure, and heat to burn off contaminants.

The bottom heating element burned out. Ordered the right part and my husband fixed the heating element. This saved a lot of money.Thanks, RM from South Carolina

Getting the part out was easy. Turned the power off (of course) first. The outside nuts were corroded, so had to use a pair of pliers to get them off. The inside connectors were easier to get off. I had a little trouble getting the connectors on the wires. The metal part on the heating element kept wanting to bend. I finally had someone hold that in place while I made the connections. The outside screws were easy to put on. The oven now works great. I think the element was failing over a period of time, and we just didn't notice. I can't remember the last time I actually saw the element get RED hot. Works great. Thanks for your quick service and reasonable prices. Will definitely use you again, when I need parts like this. Turned off electricity at fuse box. Unscrewed old element and removed. Put in new element, screwed it in. Turned on electricity. Voila.
