Knob/switch would not turn right front burner on at all!
Pulled range out from the wall. Unplugged cord from outlet. Removed old knob, removed two phillips screws a very top of chrome trim, removed six nut-head screws from back to reveal the switches...removed two set screws from the front at knob base. Visually checked to make sure wiring post of new switch matched the old one. There was enough slack in the wiring to remove one wire at a time and connect it to the new switch in its appropriate place. Put new switch in the panel and secured with the two set screws. Select the bushing that would take up the slack for the old knob to fit on the new switch stem. Held new stem at its base with pliers and used another pair of pliers to snap the stem at appropriate length. (The new stem could not be broken off short enough to have the knob as flush to the panel as the other knobs...this was the only negative factor in the repair) Replaced nut-head screws and phillips screws. I was especially pleased with the quick delivery of the part...even without special shipping rates I received the part in less than 18 hours from the time I ordered it online!

Bake Element broken
Removed 2 screws (with 1/4" nut driver) on bracket holding heat element at back of oven. Pull element forward to expose the 2 wires connected to element, remove screws on wire corrections with flat head screw driver. Remove element from oven......Reverse the steps to install new heat element.....very easy job....except I cleaned the oven while I had the element out of the oven.

Oven took a very long time to get to the right temperature. Noticed on one arm of the element that there was corrosion .
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place againts the oven wall. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. These wires were screwed into the element so it was important to order the correct screw-in type replacement element. I pushed the wires back into place and screwed in the plate that holds the element against the oven wall. It was very quick and easy.

The burner burnt through.
I simply removed the 2 mounting screws, pulled the element out a few inches, disconnected the 2 screws holding the wires to the terminals and reversed the order for assembly.
REMEMBER to turn off the breaker at the panel because the wires are still hot even though the oven control itself is off (trust me!!!).
Excellent service and fast delivery from partselect.com........ I'd gladly deal with them again.

Baking element went out
The hardest part of this entire repair was locating the right socket and explaining why/how I burned my fingers (yes I had to touch the element to prove to myself it was that easy to fix and worked). 4 screws, 1 replacement part 5 minutes no cussing. This was the easiest repair I have ever done.

Heating element burned out
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I pulled the element out and disconnected the two wires that hold it in place. I reversed the process for the new element and viola! The oven works just great. The element actually arrived a day earlier than expected. Thanks Parts Select!

Old element burned out (while I was roasting a turkey)
My husband helped me pull the range out from the wall to unplug it, I removed the screws on the hinged bracket, pulled the wiring out a couple of inches and removed the screws attaching the element to the wiring. Then I reversed the process. Easy as pie. The most time consuming part was unplugging the range, but as it is 220v (can kill you) I consider it a nesessary step. The best part was the price and availability. I ordered the part on Sunday p.m. and got it on Tuesday p.m. at half the price quoted by a national chain.

heating element not working
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. I reattached them to the new element screwed it back in place and I was done. Could not have been easier! Getting the right replacement part the next day after placing the order was a pleasant surprise. This is the second time I used your company and I am very impressed with your service. I recommend you to everyone I can. Great Job!

The bake element had cracks in it and was almost burned through in a couple of spots.
I ordered the bake element on Monday and received it on Wednesday. Great delivery.
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires...
Then I installed the new element using the steps above in reverse. Very clean and simple. One tip though...open your oven door slightly to the detent and pull straight up. The door slips off easily and allows easy access to the bake element screws.

The bake element actually melted and broke into pieces
It was realatively simple, turned off the power to the oven, removed the bake element , by loosening the two metal screws in the back of the oven, with a nut driver and removing the screws, then pulling the element outward, to expose the two wires ,that were connected to the element, using a nut driver to remove the two screws and a pair of pliers to hold the wire connectors, then removed the old element. Installed the new bake element, by connecting the two wires to the element, with the two screws, then pushing the element back in place , attaching the element to the back of the oven, with the two metal screws, finished with the installation, turned power back to the oven , and tested to make sure the oven worked , all done.

Vintage Oven Element stp working
Tried contacting GE and no luck, they did not have vintage parts. After searching and locating Partselect, I was able to see a pic of the actual replacement part. I wasn't sure about purchasing online (1st timer) but decided to go for it!
I was able to track the package, although FedEX was setup to deliver to my resdient, I had the package addressed to my office but we worked that out also and walla.
I was very please and now I can bake my famous Pot Roast again. The oven was not working for 8 mos.
Good Eaten!

no power going to burner when switch is on, switch bad
I followed the easy instructions and everything went well. I had the new switch installed in about 30 minutes. My wires were different colors than on the instructions but it was still easy to figure out where the wires went on the new switch. Just do not be in a hurry and make sure you measure before you break off the extension bar. My knob fit on the new switch without any of the parts that came with the switch.
