JBP65DM1WW General Electric Range - Instructions

The repair was very easy to do. Our oven was showing the F2 error code, which is associated with an over-temperature fault. Upon inspection, the oven was warm, but definitely not beyond the temperature threshold. I researched the issue and found this temperature sensor.
Swapping the sensor was extremely easy. You take off the back panel of the oven, unhook a single wiring harness, and undo some bolts inside the oven, which allows you to pull off the old sensor. Simply hook up the new sensor to the harness, pull everything back through, replace the fasteners, and you're good to go.

I pulled out the drawer and inserted the new support. This one inserts into the back of the drawer as opposed to the sides. I had ordered two of the replacements even though I only needed one and decided to replace both. I think it was a good move as the drawer works better than when we first got it. Just one simple screw made it complete.

Having done this replacement before, it was very easy. My advice to anyone having a similar case is to approach the connections from the back of the stove by removing the center back panel for easy access to the connection terminals.

Unplug the stow.(Important!)
Remove the knobs pulling out from front of the stove.
Remove the 2 screws from each knob.
From rear.(3 big 4 small screws to be removed)
Removing the 7 screws pull up the upper panel get access to switches.
One at a time remove the wiring from old switch attach to new switch. Screw the upper panel. Install the knobs.
Plug the stove.
You are done!

Replaced

I removed the 4 hex head screws holding the control panel , then the other 4 slotted screws. Disconnected all wires being careful to keep track of the color coding. Had a little trouble with the adhesive holding the face plate( I don't know why they even used it). Put the new panel in and reconnected it. Re set circuit breaker and tried the oven. It still wouldn't heat. it wasn't the control panel, but a burned out wire connecting the element in the back of the oven. Well, anyway I learned how to do the job and the the new panel activates better, so all was not lost.

Removed old racks and replaced with new racks.

Removed two screws from the front, two on the back of the control panel. Open the control panel while all the wire were still connected. Disconnected two wires from the old switch. Pull the old switch out. Push the new one into the same opening. Connected two wires to the switch. It is easy and fast.

Very easy to remove the parts and to reassemble

Troubleshot the problem, found the SWITCH ROCKER was seized up,
Removed the rear inspection panel, and saw the installation procedure.
Called Part Select and discussed the problem.
Gentleman quickly found the part and we ordered it,
Pulled the existing failed switch out, replace the new switch, done.
Saved at least $100.00 by not having and appliance company do a simple job!
This not the first time Parts Select has satisfied my needs and importance of saving hard earned money.

Took me a second to remember that YouTube is just as handy a tool as what I've got in my toolbox. The installation of the new glass was as easy as apple pie. Anybody that has ever used a screwdriver could manage that fix and do so single handedly. PartSelect.com came through with an easy-to-navigate website, a very reasonable price range and anything you could ask for to help fix whatever has broken. I quoted a gentleman in my town, a handyman, and he came back with a price tag of over $300 for parts and labor! Even with tax, shipping and the new glass I came in well under $100, and the labor was next to nothing. Robert did not do the repairs. I did! 70 year old housewife. I watched a Utube video and thought I could certainly handle that. Ordered my part from your site. It came in two days. Burnet was replaced in under 20 minutes by me! Anyone can do this. Super easy, parts just plug in.

Turne off power to range..pulled oven out..Took top back panel off with nut driver. 4screws .. Took picture of control board....removed bad control board with Phillips driver...4 screws....installed New board...removed 1 connection at a time and replaced in New board..Turned power on to test new board...check picture to make sure connections are correct...turn off power...put back panel back on...put range back in place...turn power back o n...done ..approximate time 15 to 20 minutes..

Took the oven door off and removed the inner door panel, put new glass assembly part in and reassembled. The hard part was getting the door hinges locked back into place.
