Switch to change size of burner inoperative
Simple. Disconnect the power (either unplug or turn the breaker off!!!!) Remove the two 1/4" bolts on the back of the stove, remove the two #2 cross-tip screws from below the knobs. Gently lift the console away from the stove chassis (there is very little play in the wiring, so be careful. Using needle nose pliers, remove the two wires from the switch. Let them hang loosely. Compress the retention clips on each side of the bad switch with your fingers. With the clips compressed, push the switch through the face of the console. Remove the bad switch, discard. Slide the new switch into the hole on the console, push it in until it is fully seated, the retention clips should hold it in place. Reconnect the wires to the switch. Reseat the console and reinstall the screws and bolts. Turn the power back on. Test the switch.
