less than 15 minutes R2 the part, ops ck'd good. 4ea 1/4" screw/nuts, they didn't fight me...

After an exhaustive search of local oven dealers and big box stores, I could not find a broiler element for my aged GE stove. I did find it online at Parts Select for about 1/3 the cost from GE online parts.

Replacement was easy-- just as described in posts for this part. The 'hardest' job was getting the screws started that hold the wires to the element-- small screws and small holes-- but just required some patience. A simple, inexpensive repair that avoided my having to replace the entire stove. Thanks!

Removed 3 screws from cover {center of back side of oven}, removed 2 screws from wires connected to element, then removed 2 screws mounting element
{inside oven}, pulled it & replaced it.

The stove was new when we moved into our new home but opted to leave "our" stove in the basement until the one that came with the house had seen it's better days. The removal of the original element required the use an allen type of driver - it's removal was simple and the new element popped-into place without a problem and I refastened with the screws that came with the new element. The part arrived from PartSelect right on time, in good condition, and I would definitely do business with PartSelect again when I need to! My only complaint has nothing to do with PartSelect, it is the angle one must assume to refasten the part into place! Thank you, and I'll be back!

Too easy to describe. Just lifted out the old rings and popped in the new ones. The replacement was straightforward, six screws. Instructions were provided with the part along with the necessary screws to fit the new element terminals.
Open the breaker, verify power is off, remove the old burner. Install the new burner and mounting bracket. Restore power and test. In and out in less then thirty minutes.

Removed old, burned out element, and replaced with a new element. The worst part of the entire job was getting the oven door assembled back on to the oven.

I logged into GE's website, put in my stovetop's requirements for size and type of trim rings, and was taken to partselect's site where I found what I needed. I ordered it and it came in less than a week!

I had an appliance guy replace a burner(Calrod unit)on my 47 year-old GE range, but he didn't tell me that the original trim ring wouldn't fit. I decided to look up on PartSelect to see if I could get one to fit the new burner, and I did! Fits perfectly......no tools needed.

Replaced old bake element by removing two screws holding it to back of oven. Disconnected old bake element from lead wires by removing two other screws. Installed new bake element by reversing the process. Only issue is that the tabs on the element that connect to the leads are easily bent and you need to use vise-grips to keep from bending them. The repair was very eash. The replacement element fit perfectly and only involved removing two screws, pulling the old element out far enought from the bak of the oven to disconnect the wires held by two screws . Disconnecting the two wires and installing the new element. This is a 25 year old appliance and is back to working like new. One note, be sure to shut the power off to the range because one of the wires connected to the element remains HOT! even if the oven is not on.

Replaced 30 year old stovetop cooking element with no problems. Stovetop works great now.

Some times it's not the element at all, as in this case. After rmoving the element I found the wires broke. Fortunatly I had some high temp wire left over from a earlier oven repair. I used butt splices and heat shrink tubing to repair the wires. Then I crimped on a couple of eyelets and fastened things dow.n I received a big kiss form the wife for getting the broiler fixed so fast. Maybe a little extra work, but the rewards were worth it.
