Old surface burner terminal block stopped working
Disconnected the electric burner from the terminal block, unscrewed the terminal block, removed the two back covers from the range, cut the two wires (since the wires that came with the replacement part were not long enough to reach the switch), spliced the new part to the existing wiring using wire nuts, installed the new terminal block and connected the electric burner to it. With the new terminal block in place, the burner does not lie completely flat like the old one did, but it is functional.

One burner didn't work, others were failing
I simply followed the instructions on the PartSelect website. Since the range is 20 years old, I replaced all four terminal blocks. I used needle nose pliers to carefully nurse the old terminals off the burner controls, and used fine sandpaper to burnish the male contacts on the burner controls. Since the failed terminal block wire had overheated, I burnished the burner contacts that slip into the terminal blocks to eliminate any resistance that could cause overheating. So far, all burners are working great!

2 mounting bracket included, wires too long
I couldn't tell which one work best till I installed 2 units and I liked the other bracket for stability. The wired were too long and there is not a given way to strap them and keep them away from the heat source.

left rear element not heating up
I pulled range away from the wall and pulled the electrical plug. I removed all of the heating elements and raised and secured the top panel.I then removed the one screw that held the terminal block in place.now I went to the rear of the range and remove six screws that held the top cover in place.I now cut the two wires going to the old block,I pushed the new wires through the back panel.I installed the new terminal block using one screw. Now I went to the rear and removed the old wires and installed the new wires. I rolled up excess wire and secured with plastic ties. I installed the rear cover using six screws,I put electrical plug back into outlet, pushed range back in place, lowered front panel, replaced all the elements and turn on left rear element.FINISH EVERYTHING WORKS. P.S. I ordered two terminal blocks,if it happens again in any of the blockes I'll be ready. total costs for both $25.55 plus shipping.

The burner would not work.
I pulled the range out, unplugged it, took the back off, unplugged the old terminal block and removed it. Attached the new block and ran the wires through to the back and plugged them in. Reattached the cover on the back of the range, plugged the range back in and pushed it back into place.

Corroded connectors and melted block on an electric stove.
The original GE blocks/wires were color coded to specific burners. The new ones are not color coded since they are sold individually and work with any burner, but they were identical to the originals in every other way. Just remove old blocks one at a time and connect the replacement so that the burner is connected to the proper control. Since the stove age was unknown, I replaced all four blocks to eliminate a repeat of the problem later. The screws holding the blocks and the wiring cover on the stove back require the same small socket wrench; not enough room in some places for an adjustable wrench. It took no more than 20 minutes to replace all four, test the burners, and close up the back wiring panel. The instructional video on the website eliminated my hesitation to tackle this repair. The parts arrived the next day, with no special shipping service requested. WOW. PartSelect will be the first place I go to find what I need for the next fix-it. I'm almost looking forward to something else breaking. LOL. Thanks, PS.

watched it on parts select this is a real fast and simple install took longer to pull the range out of its position well started by shuting off the power then double checked that the range was deenergized removed the knob then the 2 screws then on the rear of the range removed the back panel about 8 screws used a nut driver then removed the old switch removed each wire one by one and pluged each wire into the new switch just as they were on the old switch the new switch was exactly the same so every thing matched up perfect installed the screws to the front which hold the swich in place then the back cover turned on the power and tested the switch every thing working ok done shut off power slid range back into its place turned power back on everything still ok
