replaced trim rings and drip pans
Simple replacement on an old "built in" range in good condition but drip pans and trim rings soiled beyond cleaning. Stove top, although 20+ years old, now looks like new. So glad to find parts were still available as "universal" replacement parts for the 8 inch burner do not fit. Delivered to my door in days.

The bake element started to crack and open in several areas. It was just a matter of time before it would of broken in half.
Turn the power of to the stove used a 5/16 socked and unscrewed the element from the stove. Used the socket to remove the wires from the element. Installation was easy make sure you hold the end of the elements where the wires attach so they do not bend when tightening. Everything is working and back to normal. Make sure you use the model number to get the correct part needed.Part select was the best and delivery was with in 5 days.

The broiler element burned out
First my husband removed the screws that held the element in place, pulled it partially out and then disconneted the wires. He located the part number that was stampted on the defective element and then I searched the internet for GE parts. I noted the price at GE site and continuted to search. The PartSelect price was about 1/2 of the GE price. We ordered the part, it arrived in two days, and we replaced it in less than 30 minutes. We were very pleased.

Broiler element not working
Some times it's not the element at all, as in this case. After rmoving the element I found the wires broke. Fortunatly I had some high temp wire left over from a earlier oven repair. I used butt splices and heat shrink tubing to repair the wires. Then I crimped on a couple of eyelets and fastened things dow.n I received a big kiss form the wife for getting the broiler fixed so fast. Maybe a little extra work, but the rewards were worth it.

Original trim ring did not fit
I had an appliance guy replace a burner(Calrod unit)on my 47 year-old GE range, but he didn't tell me that the original trim ring wouldn't fit. I decided to look up on PartSelect to see if I could get one to fit the new burner, and I did! Fits perfectly......no tools needed.
