Oven would take 45 min to heat to 425
The repair worked GREAT! It took less than 10 minutes and now the oven heats to 400+ in 5 minutes...the element came via regular shipping in 3 days. We were ready to buy a new slide in unit for 1000.00, now we have a 23 year old oven that works better than when it was new!! All for around 30 dollars. THANK YOU!

Oven not heating properly
Replaced the baking element by removing two small sheet metal screws and unfastening the two medal clip/leads. Replaced the heating element, reconnected the leads, and refastened the screws. Took not much more then 5 to 10 minutes and the oven now heats perfectly.

Bake oven failed to heat due to break in element
Unplugged stove. Removed oven racks. Using 1/4" nut driver I removed two screws from back wall of oven that were holding bake element in place. Pulled stove from wall, removed lower back panel. Disconnected electric saber connectors. Pulled old element from oven. Put new element in oven. Reinstalled the two 1/4" screws. At the back of the stove, I reconnected the two push-on saber connections. Replaced back panel. Pushed stove back in place. Plugged in the power cord. Checked oven. Works fine.Great experience with Parts Select in every way.Total work time: about 20 minutes.

inconsistent temperature
At first I used a nutdriver to remove the two inside screws and found that one of the wires were not long enough to disconnect. I had to remove an access panel in the back which only had 5 screws to remove. I took it off, replaced the element and put it all back together. Then my wife tested it by baking an angel food cake which turned out perfect.

Took the back off the range to remove terminals from the element then unscrewed the two screws holding the element on from the inside of the oven. Installed the new element, put terminals on element and reinstalled the back of the range.

stove started smoking and sparks was coming out under stove.
The repair was pretty easy with the help of your on-line diagram. Other than the fact my husband failed to turn off power to the stove. Needless to say he got a small shock by the stove, Once he turned off power it went fast and safe.

The lower heating element in the oven did not work
I ordered a replacement heating element for the bottom of the oven. All I had to do was to remove one screw on each side holding the element in and supposedly pull the element out to expose the spades on each end to unplug them and plug the new element in. As I did that, I touched the metal case of the oven and welded the spade off of the old element. I couldn't pull the old element out into the oven. First lesson---unplug the stove before doing this! I think that the reason I couldn't pull the rods of the element out into the oven is because they were tangled in the insulation. I then took the back of the stove partially off, pushed the rods out the back holes to expose the spades. The one that was melted could still be pulled out, so then I just plugged the wires to the spades on the element, pushed them back and put the screws back in on the inside. Another tip would to have a screwdriver that fits well. These were really tight, and you could strip the heads of the phillips slots. Anyway, the stove works fine. I could have pulled the elements with the wire into the oven, but since I had a welding job because I didn't turn the electricity off, it took me longer.
