KTM487180C Frigidaire Range - Instructions

Had to remove the old element and had problems with the element shorted on the quick disconnect. After having my son unplug the appliance and cutting the quick connect off. My son then installed a new quick disconnect and the bake element.

The new part was shipped and recieved very fast.
I removed the old one and installed the new one going by how I took the old one out. It was simple to do even for a 75 year old lady.. Thanks.

For an electrical appliance, it doesn't get easier then this, this was real easy.

I removed both baking racks, unscrewed two screws holding the old element in place, pulled out element about 1 1/2 inches, removed the wires off of each end of the element, then replaced with new element in reverse order. That was it. Had time to play 18 holes of Golf!

Removed the screws, replaced it with the new bake element, put the screws back in........and bam! I'm back in business. That's how easy this was to repair. Bake element cost me 40 bucks, appliance repair shop wanted about 200 bucks to repair.

ordered new heating element, arrived promptly as expected, compared new heating element to old one and it matched in size only diameter a little different, removed two sheet metal screws holding element in place and pulled out element to expose conductors and removed them with screwdriver. Installed conductors on new heating element slid into holes and installed screws, turned power back on(first step is to turn off power) turned on oven to preheat and she worked like a new one. Very quick and easy fix. Used a nut driver to unscrew the bolts. Pulled it out and disconnected the two wires. I was very happy with the wonderful service we received from Partselect.com. I ordered the part Sunday evening and the part was here Tuesday by noon. I payed regular shipping charges. What a pleasant surprise!

Unplug the oven, open the door, take the screws out of the back wall that hold the small brackets which hold the element. Pull the element out of the wall, and pull a little of the wires with it to grasp easily. There are square nut screws, so you need the appropriate tool. Unplug the old element from the wires, and plug the new one in. Screw everything back together! This was a very easy fix!

Just followed the same instructions that the other people did when replacing this element. Was very easy to replace . Just turned off the power , rwemoved the two nuts , pulled the wires out about 3 inches and unpluged old one and pluged in the new one, replaced the nuts and volia ,DONE

All that was needed was to unscrew two screws holding it to the back of the oven and pull it out to get to the wires. Then unhook the wires and install new one. Less than 2 minutes.

Turn off the power to the range. Remove oven racks. Remove the two screws and slowly pull the element out being careful not to pull the wires off. Remove the two wires then attach them to the new element. Push the element back in place, put the screws back in, turn on the power and turn on oven to make sure the problem is fixed

1.Take no chances. Turn off power at main breaker box (Range). 2 2. 2. 2.Remove inside grills then pull damaged element forward to expose wires and screws. 3. Use nut driver or phillips screwdriver to undo both screws. 4. Remove burnt out element then replace it new one. Make sure both sides are firmly pushed onto the wire terminals before tightening screws. Replace grills. close oven door then turn breaker at breaker box on again.

I watched a YouTube video. Than it was easy. I turned the breaker to range off. Took the nuts off. Uncliped the part. Plug new part in. Put screws back in. Flipped on the breaker. And it works wonderfull.

unfastened clip at back of oven w/screwdriver. Pulled out the plug, unplugged the element. Plugged in new element, pushed back into place, refastened clip to hold it in place at back of oven.. Done

Removed the oven heater and checked with an ohm meter. It read 'open', so I ordered a new element. It came in a few days, and my 16 year old grandson installed it, and all is well!

Undid 2 screw nuts holding the element to the back wall, with a 1/4" socket. Pulled off the two wires, pushed them onto the new element. Screwed the two nuts back on the rear wall. Done! Easy, worked 1st try.
