oven would not heat.
I took a couple of screws out that hold the bottom
element in place replaced the old one with the new one and fired it up. Worked like a charm and maybe this old stove will live on to make more Roast beef dinners.
If it been any easier my 10 year old grandson could have done it.

Broken oven door hinges
Ordered a left & right hinge. Paid considerably more for the left hinge but both hinges were identical when received.
Bolt holes in both hinges were not tapped for the bolts which were sent with the hinges. This required a trip to the hardstore to get a tap set. After the bolt holds were tapped there was no problem removing the old hinges and installing the new ones.

Oven quit heating and display flashed F-3
I went online to learn what F-3 meant and it said temp sensor malfunction. I ordered the part - it looked the same so I repaced the old one and then the plugs were different. I cut the plug off the old sensor and cobbled together a connection. I powered up the stove and the burners were ok, but the oven appeared dead. about an hour later the alarm went off and it displayed F-1. I figured I needed to order another part, but hit Oven cancel and the display lighted up. I set the clock, heated to 400 and made a tray of cornbread. It seems to work ok, but I need to make a better arrangement. perhaps cut the new part connector off and splice the old connector. I don't like having electrical tape so close to the oven - it will probably melt with much usage. It is working - for now!

lower heat element would not get to temperature
Slide stove out and unplug. Using nut driver (phillips screw driver would work fine) remove screws securing back panel. Remove back panel. Pull off wires from heating element. I made a lose knot on left wire so I could install as removed without confusion - sometimes it matters. Removed 2 screws securing element inside the oven. I installed everything as it was - oven works great. I saved over $100 and my wife thinks I'm a genius. Hardest part was cleaning accumulated mess behind the stove.

Lower Bake Element burned out
Two screws in the oven removed the old part and the wires unplugged from the unit. When the new part came in , it was plug and play. Plugged the wires into the new part, put part into holes in oven and screwed the screws back in place and we were ready to go. The part was here in record time. We ordered it on Sunday, it shipped out on Monday, it arrived on Tuesday and we were back in operation! Thanks for a really smooth repair experience!

it didn't come with any instructions
The complete top section had to be lifted up and the broken section removed. The bottom inside screw was difficult to complete as the area to work in is so small. However, all was completed and the stove now looks finished.

This is a rental unit, and I suspect that someone was mad at something and took it out on the stove.

The rocker switch was broken
This particular Amana electric range has a "eye" that can serve as the heat source for a small or large pan simply by using the rocker switch to "flip" between "large" or "small." This switch broke. I found Partselect.com, found the part, ordered on Saturday night and received it on Tuesday afternoon. 1) Shut off power to the range at the breaker box. 2) Used a small flat-head srewdriver to pop the old rocker switch from the appliance. 3) Used a set of locking pliers to hold the wires in place as I disconnected the old switch from it's connections using a set of needle-nose pliers. (It was a plug-in style switch). 4) Plugged in the new switch. 5)Released the wires from the locing pliers. 6) Popped the new switch into the range's cabinet. 7) Flipped the breaker to "On". WORKS Perfectly

The computer displayed F-2 & F-3 indicating a temp sensor problem.
Removed the old sensor which is held into the upper right of the back of the oven by removing the two screws and pulling the sensor out. Then disconnected the sensor from its connector. Replace the old with the new by simply clicking it into the connector. Then pushed the wire back into the oven wall and screwed the two screws back in. The whole job took about one minute to do after evaluating the process. While it was not necessary to remove the door, I did (which was very easy) and ended up cleaning the glass inside and out. All in all, a complete success. Oven working as new.
