Oven would not heat.
I had changed the broiler igniter several years ago, but it had "burned out". The only thing that slowed me down on this repair was that the igniter was glowing brightly, but the oven would still not ignite. Others have written that it's best to try a new igniter FIRST. That indeed was the solution.

One "trick" that I did not find in other posts was how to get to the plug on the end of the igniter - so here's how.

First, open the oven, remove all racks and the bottom cover. Remove the nut holding the heat deflector in place and remove the heat deflector. Then remove the three screws holding the igniter in place.

Second, pull out the bottom drawer of the ove and remove it. At the very back there is a sheet metal cover held in place by two additional screws; remove them to rermove the sheet metal cover - this will allow access to the plug on the other end of the igniter. Unplug the igniter.

Third, feed the plug end of the new igniter from inside of the oven to the underside. Plug it in, reattach the sheet metal cover, reinstall the drawer, screw in the new igniter and put the heat deflector back in place.

Note of caution: be careful handling the igniter - it's fragile and easily broken.

oven would'nt light
I pulled the racks out of the oven. Then pull the plate off that covers the burner. There is another shield with a nut on it that covers the burner. Removed it.
The ignitor is mounted on the back of the burner, held by 3 screws, remove them. Pull the bottom sliding drawer out completely. (you have to lay down for this). There is a metal plate in the very back held with 2 screws, remove them and pull the plate out. You'll see the 2 high temp wires (White) with a plug connector, simply unplug the connector and you are ready to pull the whole ignitor assembly off the burner. The ignitor ceramic base simply slides out of the sleeve.
Put the new ignitor in the sleeve and put everything back together. It's pretty simple.
This is the second ignitor I have installed in 2 years, hopefully I'll get more life out of this one.
Good Luck.

The bake of the oven would sometimes ignite and sometimes not
I pulled the ckt breaker, removed the oven drawer and disconnected the igniter. I opened the oven door and unscrewed the igniter holding bracket and removed the bracket and igniter. I broke the old igniter element when removing it from the bracket. When installing the new igniter in the holding bracket I broke the ceramic element. REALLY BE CAREFUL. Ordered a new igniter, very carefully installed it in the bracket, then rversed the removal process. It's not hard, you just have to be careful

Replace oven racks
Very simple process of just ensuring you have the correct size racks and remove the old racks and replace them with the new ones.
Having ordered a lot of things on the internet, I am very pleased with using Part select and would "highly" recommend them to all!!

ignition no longer work
It was really easy because I read information on your site. I only had to unscrew 3 screws, remove the old spark ignition electrode, replace the new one and then screw the 3 screws back. It was great

hinge on oven door broke off
After I received the new hinge in the mail, my 13 year old son volunteered, for a fee of five dollars, to put the new hinge on the oven door. Seeing "easy to install" on the outer wrapper of the new part, I thought I was being generous. However, my son soon let me know that the screws given with the new hinge did not fit into the predrilled holes of the oven. He tried and tried for over an hour to get those screws to fit. I decided to go to the home improvement store to buy bigger screws. I took the hinge with me and had the store employee assess the type of screws I would need. He then informed me that the screws were fine, but I needed the holes in the hinge to be drilled bigger. I bribed him by offering to buy him a drink if he'd do it for me as long as he was single. He laughed and drilled away. (Sometimes, single women, like me, get desperate!) He handed me the hinge with larger holes and I noticed the wedding ring. Oops...no drink for him!! But I did give him a great big thank you. Happily, I brought the fixed piece home and handed it to my son to continue with the repair. He tried again and this time announced the holes were drilled too big!! If there was a bridge nearby I seriously would have jumped! The next day I drove to my Dad's house...a true jack of all trades...and with his drill and two new screws, he said this should do it. For the third time, I handed the hinge to my son and VOILA!! It actually worked! Thanks Dad!! So much for "easy to install". Seriously, the incorrect screws were sent with this hinge! Anyway, I happily celebrated that night with a drink in my hand...minus the home improvement employee!

Oven igniter did not have the correct resistance
1. Remove sliding shelves and lower pan sheild
2. Remove flame deflector
3 . Remove the 3 screws that hold the igniter in place. Insert the new cable and plug through the opening for connection in step 6. You may hve access to connector. If so skip to step 8.
4. Remove sliding storage drawer
5. Remove the sheetmetal pan to gain access to the igniter connector. It might help to have several blocks of wood the elevate the frront of the stove to allow more working clearance.
6. Disconnect old igniter, connect new igniter.
7. Replace pan and sliding drawer.
8. Remove old igniter from carrier and install new one.
9. Install igniter carrier to stove with 3 screws
10. Replace flame deflector and lower pan sheild.

the iron gets red hot but not enough to open the gas valve.
Took the pan out of the bottom of the oven. Took the screws out of the assembly for the iron, disconnect the power wires under the stove and pull out the old iron. Reverse the proceedure but be careful with the new iron, it is very fragile. Connect the wires put the screws back and you are done. Make sure before you start the job that you unplug the appliance !!!!

broken hinge
The repair was quite easy. Remove the two screws and put in the new part. The only problem I had was the hinge sent was the wrong side (but it still worked) and the new hinge had no threads for the screws. I had to tap the holes so that the screws could be used.

The Electric Igniter did not heat
Thanks to this website I was able to quickly identify the needed part. A few days later I had it. To install the new part I had to open up the bottom inside of the oven to access the igniter assembly and remove the drawer to get to the connecting plug underneath. Four screws needed to be removed, unplugged the old part and plugged in the new part. Replaced the four screws to hold the igniter in place. Replaced the drawer and fired it up. Worked great!

The oven was not heating properly
After removing the oven shelves, the burner cover came right up. The ignitor was in plain sight, and after removing the screws I pulled it straight out so I could get to the wire nuts. After swapping out the old igniter and sliding the cover over the new ignitor, the new piece slipped back into place in the oven. The screws were put back in, and the burner cover and shelves put back, and the oven works wonderfully again.
