Range hood rattling and then finally not running
1. Safety & Prep

Turn off the power at the breaker and remove the grease filters.

Pro-Tip: This is a great opportunity to deep clean the interior of the hood while the blower is out.

2. The Hardest Part: Unclipping the Wiring

The trickiest part is getting the old wiring harness unclipped.
< br />The Fix: Take your new replacement blower and examine the clip on it so you can see exactly how the locking mechanism works. Then, use a small flathead screwdriver to reach in and undo the clip on the old unit.

3. Installation & Filter Requirements

Mount the new Blower Assembly using your screwdriver and pliers.

Important Note on Filters: * If your hood vents to the outside, you do not need charcoal filters.

If you have a recirculating baffle in place, you must use charcoal filters for proper air filtration.

4. Finishing Up

Reinstall any covers and filters. Restore power and test the fan to ensure the rattling has stopped.
