I removed the spring loaded brush screw on the side of my mixer and lost it the next day. I found a schematic of this part on your website and ordered the four pieces that make up the brush screw(?). They arrived in just a few days and I referred back to the schematic to put it together. I then popped it in my mixer, screwed it down, plugged her in and away we go! Easiest repair I’ve ever done! I’m a 70 year old retired lady and not very handy, but this was an easy fix! Thank you, PartSelect!

spring latch broke
removed old screws and latch, replaced it with the new. took just a few seconds. This is the first time i ever fixed anything. customer service was amazing

Cord split in half
I removed one screw on back, once inside mixer I removed the ground screw then pulled off the black and white push on caps, then I reversed everything to get it installed, very easy

After 40 years, the spring latch that holds the bowl in place broke from metal fatigue. I make bread for a Farmers Market and HAD to have that part. The part arrived in less than 18 hours!!!!
I screwed the two screws into the place of original holes and Voila! it was repaired.

Bowl lift arm broke - quick fix ready for 27 more years
While kneading dough, my 27-yo stand mixer walked off the counter, and shortly thereafter the plastic bowl lift arm piece broke. After a quick internet search I ordered the part. Installation was extremely easy. 1) Using a rachet with a #3 Phillips head bit, remove the four screws holding the motor to the base. 2) Using the Roll Pin Punch pop out the roll pin. 3) Loosen and remove the cotter pin with the screwdriver and pliers. 4) Remove the broken piece. 5) Attach the replacement piece to the handle and insert the roll pin, tapping into place with the Roll Pin Punch. 5) Attach the lift arm to the piece and fix with the cotter pin. 6) Reattach the motor to the base. Ready for 27 more years of stand mixing duty!

Bowl lift arm broke
Was able to use the diagrams to figure out how to put everything back together. Would have been a nightmare without that as I took the thing apart without really paying attention to what went where. The hardest part was inserting a set pin that holds the Bowl lift arm, which fits inside the stand. in place. So new parts - $20, less than an hour of my time disassembling/reassembling, probably saved me $125 in repair plus a couple hours driving it to service place and picking it up. No brainer.

stripped worm gear
i disassembled the mixer until i could remove the worm gear; is in a housing that that includes another gear and shaft. make sure you have a magnetic tray to put parts in as you work or you will spend more time looking for parts than reassembling the mixer. once you have the gear housing out you will need a small diameter punch to drive out the pin that holds the gears in the housing(i used a 5/32 transfer punch.) make sure you punch the pin out where it will be caught or you will need to order that part because you will not find it. after knocking the pin out it is just a matter of removing the old gear, putting the new one in, and reversing the steps and getting everything reassembled.

Speed control not working properly
Replaced the speed control plate and phase control board and works well. Pay attention to speed control board spring and adjustment lever when reassembling.

Updated 1970's KitchenAid Mixer Electronics
I did some research and evaluated a modern day Kitchen Aid Mixer. Looked a the wire diagram and found out what items I needed. Ordered them from Partselect. Overall Mixer is updated and running. I made up some cookie dough with it. The Project took a few evenings due to rewiring the coils on the motor/armature and modifying the rear bearing bracket to hold the Phase control board (not OEM on 70's mixers). Then put it back together and adjusted the speed control.

plastic worm gear was stripped would nut turn
replaced worm gear and wonderd why they used plastic instead of a stronger metal gear, unit works fine

needed to replace rubber foot on mixer
The insertion part of the foot was tapered to fit in the hole in the mixer. Simple pressure was not the answer. So I used a small key, placed it on the bottom of the foot, after applying a little vegetable oil on the foot, and tapped it into place. Worked well.Joe

mixer making thumping noise
disasembled found stripped gesr assembly ordered and replaced went very smoothly. It would have been good to have info and acsess to the correct gear grease to use in a mixer / food grade but it worked out well anyway.shipping was very fast thanks
