Bowl lift arm broke
Was able to use the diagrams to figure out how to put everything back together. Would have been a nightmare without that as I took the thing apart without really paying attention to what went where. The hardest part was inserting a set pin that holds the Bowl lift arm, which fits inside the stand. in place. So new parts - $20, less than an hour of my time disassembling/reassembling, probably saved me $125 in repair plus a couple hours driving it to service place and picking it up. No brainer.

The mixer bowl would not go down.
First of all I found the part in no time flat and ordered it early afternoon and it was at my door within 24 hours! My son was off work one day and I asked him if he needed a job to do and he said "sure". So I showed him the new part and where it goes and in less then 10 min it was working. awesome!

After 40 years, the spring latch that holds the bowl in place broke from metal fatigue. I make bread for a Farmers Market and HAD to have that part. The part arrived in less than 18 hours!!!!
I screwed the two screws into the place of original holes and Voila! it was repaired.

spring latch broke
removed old screws and latch, replaced it with the new. took just a few seconds. This is the first time i ever fixed anything. customer service was amazing

mixer making thumping noise
disasembled found stripped gesr assembly ordered and replaced went very smoothly. It would have been good to have info and acsess to the correct gear grease to use in a mixer / food grade but it worked out well anyway.shipping was very fast thanks

turn and quit
Disassembled gear housing and replaced worm gear/bracket assembly. The hardest part was cleaning and working around what looked like 2 pound of grease. I will contact you again if I need parts for anything. Thanks.

stripped nylon drive gear
Followed the repair instructions from the manual. ...
I did notice that the replacement part had an extension on it that allowed for the gear grease to be "pulled up" onto the drive gear ( the one that broke), while the unit is running. This feature was not on the original part, but was obviously an upgrade design which was added after my particular mixer was made. I think that the extension on the bracket will help prevent the new nylon gear from binding and stripping as we use the mixer from now on.
I'm glad that PartSelect had the more modern part on hand, and not just an "overstock" from the original, inferior design.

needed to replace rubber foot on mixer
The insertion part of the foot was tapered to fit in the hole in the mixer. Simple pressure was not the answer. So I used a small key, placed it on the bottom of the foot, after applying a little vegetable oil on the foot, and tapped it into place. Worked well.Joe

The worm gears were broken.
We simply replaced the gear with the new one. It was very easy to install.

plastic worm gear was stripped would nut turn
replaced worm gear and wonderd why they used plastic instead of a stronger metal gear, unit works fine
