MHE13XHQ1 Roper Microwave - Instructions

You had alerted that it was imperative to unplug unit before starting to remove defective bulb. As described, there was silicon on bulb and socket and bulb broke upon my attempt to remove. Had to use needle nose pliers to get metal base of old bulb from socket, then all went well.

OMG! I wish everything in life were so easy.....The cooking tray of our 15 year old microwave cracked and I swore it'd be impossible to find a replacement. Kept the screws from the old part. Simply slide the new grille in place and screw in the two holding screws!

All the electrics worked on Amana microwave EXCEPT for the cooking function. Inspected the control board and found the upper switch on the door interlock was burnt. Installed new switch in minutes and everything now works fine. Unfortunately, had to purchase expensive two switch "kit" although only one switch was kaput. PartsSelect mailing was SUPER fast. Unscrew the vent grill and took it off. Then remove the air filter and clean off the surrounding area. Then install the new air filter and vent grill. Put on the two screw and i was done. All done in less than 10 minutes.

The problem I have with changing the bulb is my microwave is an overhead one and therefore I cannot tip it on its side to easily replace the bulb. I have to drop the lid down and carefully install the new bulb from underneath.

simply too the cover off the top vent area and removed the old one and replaced it with the new one

I received my glass cooking tray so fast but when I try to put in the microwave did't fix was to big,I call you today to return and very nice lady help me and told me I need to call whirlpool and explain them and already order again thank so much for all your help you have very nice people in customer service. First let me say that I tried several places to get what I thought was a simple light bulb. This included several national hardware stores as well as a national electrical supply company. No luck. Replaced light bulb.

removed grill cover, removed bulb plate, unscrew bulb, screw new bulb in socket,put bulb cover back on and screw grill cover back on. no issues whatsoever.

quick and easy,,, was a direct fit with no issues and now no more light show,, thanks a bunch

Just took the plate out the packaging & rinsed,dried and put in the oven. I was so happy I found it @partselect online& it came in the next day or two. Will definitely use them again. It was a fraction of the cost from local parts store.
