under microwave (above stove) light
The replacement of the light no problem, the reason the light broke; problem. The original was glued in (for transport i think) and simply trying to unscrew it out (in a very tight slot) it broke; be careful or you’ll be buying a new $20 bulb (with shipping and handling).

Plastic door handle broke off
I ran into the same problem everyone does when doing this job. I found and removed the top screw from the back of the door but could not see the bottom screw so was unsure how to remove old broken plastic piece from lower handle attachment point and reinstall new. I went back to the website and found the comments from others re how to do this and from there it was a 2 minute job. The only thing I would add is a caution: When removing the wide black plastic flange from inside the door (to access the bottom screw) pry it out carefully all around. If you pry open only at the handle end and start pulling away there is a risk of snapping the flange

The bottom screw holding the handle to the door broke off.
First I remove d the top screw which can be seen when the door is open. Next I gently pried the plastic rim away from the inside of the door which uncovered the bottom screw.
Placed the new handle in position and reversed the removal process, carefully tightening the screw, being careful to not overtighten. Snapped the plastic rim back into place and the job was done.
The whole repair took less than 5 minutes! I saved big bucks by doing it myself and it is not difficult as long as you can operate a screwdriver!

Micrwave won't run - turntable turns backwards when door opened...
Most of the effort is simply getting the oven out of the built in enclosure and the sheet metal off. This take about 15 minutes then you have to remove the two screws (not handy location) that hold the door latch/switch assembly so you can remove the switch. I did this BEFORE ordering so I could test the switch (it was charred) and verify the part needed. WATCH OUT - some ovens use a normally open an some a normally closed version of this switch - you have to get the right one. I checked several suppliers that were showing the WRONG switch for my model. PartSelect had it right. Once I received the switch I had it on and the oven installed and running in less than 30 miutes. Working fine since then...

Power worked but would not cook
Took the front panel off, played with the switch while it was plugged in to verify the switch was bad. I actually was able to tweak the switch just right to keep the microwave working while the part was being delivered. When it came it was just removing two small screws and replacing. Very easy.

Broken glass and bad bulb
Removed one screw, slid frame out and removed broken glass. replaced bulb. The hard part was slidding the frame back in place and starting the screw. We were very surprised at the fast delivery of the parts, thank you. The sad part, a few days later the glass broke again. We are trying to get to the people at GE to solve our problem. We feel like that will not happen, we just do not have the time to stay on hold on the phone waiting for someone to solve our problem. Will reorder glass.

Handle was broken at the bottom attachment point
I had to figure out how to get one of the screws out because I could only see the head for one of them. I removed a strip of plastic that goes around the inside parameter of the door. With that removed I foud the other screw head. I removed the remaining screw and there you have it. Put it back together and your done. . The strip around the door just snapped on so that was easy. The big problem: I received the wrong door handle from PartSelect but they had the new handle at my door the very next day. I don't know haw they did that. From Kentucky to cocoa Florida in less than 24 hours. I may have ordered the wrong part but still my Microwave was broken for four days total. I know this sounds like an ad but I'm just happy with the service. Thanks PartSelect.

Broken Handle
First I opened the door of the microwave oven and unscrewed the top screw holding the handle to the door. Then I removed the dor gasket which obscured the bottom screw. Then I unscrewed the bottom screw and removed the broken handle. Unfortuantely, this is the second time I have had to replace a broken handle. The handle is quite simply not strong enough to endure normal usage over time. If you pull the handle in a hurry and in an awkward way it will break. Shame on you, GE. Anyway, installation of the new handle was the reverse of the removal of the broken one. Very simple. I saved myself an expensive service call and the delay in getting it replaced, PartSelect got the part I ordered to me in 24 hours! Thank you very much!

Door handle broke off at bottom.
Took the microwave door off. Then read other repair stories here online and discovered that wasn't neccesary. So when the handle arrived I only had to unscrew the top visible screw, pry the bottom plastic strip off the door to reveal and remove the hidden screw. From there it was only a matter of seconds to attach the new handle and snap the plastic strip back in place. Only thing I need to mention is we did not realize the part would be coming from Canada and were surprised to see the additional postage fee charged to our debit card. Felt that should have been added up front. Not a problem, just a surprise.

Original part cracked
I removed one phillips screw on the inside of door. Took a butter knief and popped the strip on the inside of door to expose the 2nd screw. Attached the new handle using the two original screws. Less than 5 min. Piece of cake.

Microwave appeared to work. Fan worked, timer worked plate rotated. It just didn't heat the food!
I purchased the fuse and 3 door switches from PartSelect. Replaced the fuse first but that did not solve the problem. Then I replaced the 3 door switches and problem solved!! So fuse only cost $5.00 so glad I have a new fuse in there as well. To see how to replace door switches see videos on utube!!

Microwave would turn on when door opened
Unscrewed numerous screws holding the "body/shell" to the microwave. Removed body. I then unplugged top door switch, replaced it with new one, and "tested" the new one. I fixed our $400 convection micro with an $18 switch. NICE!
