SCA1000DBB03 General Electric Microwave - Instructions

Took item from sealed box and removed protective bubble wrap. Placed tray in microwave, aligning tray with turntable sprockets. Perfect fit, perfect match! And the part arrived in three days and was very competitively priced. What more is there to stay? Will use PartSelect for other replacement parts. No brainer!

Part delivered in2 days - awesome!Used the putty knife to get under the tabs to pull the cover shield off to get at the door "innards". Needed to take the underpanel out 6 small phillips head screws - non-magnetic so be careful you don't lose them.Pulled the shield of and the door comes away. Becareful not to drop it. Handle and latch went on quickly and as expected - put parts back in reverse order and off yuo go. Door works as good as new.

The primary door latch switch contacts were not closing properly. I broke the latch bracket while removing the switch. It is only a plastic clip that holds the switch in place. I replaced the switch and bracket. The Advantium now works in all modes.

I had left the door to the microwave open and turned around and hit the door latch assembly with my arm, sanpping off the bottom latch hook. In an effort to take apart the latch assembly it was necessary to take off the door choke cover and in doing so I sanpped a few of the plastic tabs that hold it in place. Undismayed, I then went online, found PartSelect, ordered the replacement parts, received them in three days and in fifteen minutes fixed both of them. The diagrams on the site made it easy to find what I needed and ordering the parts was easy. Thanks PartSelect-my wife is happy again!!!

First I called General Electric and was told they had the vent grille part and would ship it for $95.00. I then went on line and found the same part number at PartSelect.com. They quoted me a price of $75.00 and I purchased it on line. It arrived within 3 days and had the new vent grille on my G.E. Profile Oven/Microwave within 30 minutes of opening the box. All I did was remove the two screws from the broken grille, removed the grille and put on the new vent grille with only a screwdriver. I highly recommend Parts Select as they exceeded my expectations.

PartSelect had helpful repair instructions on-line which made the repair easier and faster. Unfortunately, there were other problems with the oven that immediately blew the new fuse I had just installed. It was then determined that additional repair would most likely cost almost as much as a new microwave.

It took some tugging to get the old bulb out, and is was awkward getting the prongs on the replacement bulb lined up and pushed in, but it was accomplished in about 10 minutes. You had exactly the right information on a change in the part number that was made by GE, and you shipped the correct bulb the same day I ordered it.Good job. N R Brown

After reading reviews that there was no power what so ever and a fuse replacement will solve the problem, I tried it. Replacing the fuse is very easy (and I am not handy at all). All you have to do is remove the microwave cover from the top by removing two screws, slide the cover to the left and pulling the cover off. Then remove the grill in front of you, by removing one or two screws. The fuse is in front of you, use pliers and be firm but gentle. Replacing the fuse is easy but it did not solve my problem.

This was actually easy, first you must remove the top vent piece found above the door, remove 2 screws and the vent pops off, next simply lift the door(straight up) and it should come off. Place the door on a table face down and pry off the plastic outer square using the putty knife, use care since its plastic there are tabs under that will break. Once off locate 6 screws holding the metal bracket that hold the glass in and remove, the bracket will now come out with a bit of prying, again be careful there are several tabs holding the bracket in. Be careful on tiping the door, the inner glass will drop. Once this is removed you have access to the 2 screws holding the old door handle in, in my case I had to hold the old handle with a plier to prevent the piece from turning while I took the screws out(save the screws), after you removed the old simply pop in the new handle using the old screws reattach and reverse the takedown and reattach the door. 15 minutes

Just like the directions said. Very simple.

Unscrewed the two connecting points, cleared out the broken bits of plastic, mounted the new grille and screwed the two screws back in. Easy. Also, the new part arrived very quickly.

Very easy replacement. Just lift out and replace with a new one!

Placed the new tray in the microwave.
