Griding Sound From Microwave when Running
First had to figure out where the sound was comming from. Took off the bottom cover and saw the Glass Cooking Tray Drive Motor. I had to take the motor off and turn the microwave on to verify that was where the sound was comming from. Apparently the microwave itself was amplyfing a slight grinding that was comming from the motor. I ordered the part; Only took 48 hours to receive the part! Swapped the motor out in 10 minutes and saved $300 for a new microwave.

Cook tray would not rotate.
STEP 1: Remove screws from bottom of microwave assembly where lights and filters are located.
STEP 2: Bottom cover is hinged at back side so swings down from front, exposing drive motor which is mounted in center bottom with (2) screws and has (1) electrical connector with (2) wires. STEP 3: Disconnect wire connector and remove mounting screws, allowing motor to be removed.
STEP 4: Install replacement motor in reverse order of removal steps.

Turntable din not "turn"
After reading previous stories of how to repair this item the only exception I have to add is that I had to take out seven screws...as opposed to six.
Only other comment is that the replacement part numbers are in fact different after you get past the first 5 combination numbers/letters.
Great website..already in "favorites" ..just in case

microwave oven makes big noise!
I noticed my microwave was not turning the glass tray, so I took the 6-8 Phillips screws out that holds the bottom on the microwave. Thus exposing the drive motor, which I disconnected. And knew right away that was my problem. Then I proceeded to my computer, searched Google and found PartSelect. I was then instructed to input my model number and the rest was easy. I found the correct part, ordered it and in less than a week my part came in. Now my microwave is running like new again

Turn table motor out. Made a vicious growling noise.
Easy. Simply replaced the motor. Inserts from the bottom up. remove 6 screws, diconnect motor, install new motor, replace screws and your in business. You can trouble shoot the motor before you e-assemble to make sure you have it right. Just watch where you are putting your hand or bett yet disconnect the power. Small part....big price at $40.00 but I had to have it and it works like a charm. Really fast on receiving the part from PartSelect. Back in business and my wife thinks I actually knew what I was doing.

Microwave turntable would not rotate
Removed the bottom plate from the microwave(about 4-6 screws) to get to the turntable motor. Disconnected bad turntable motor and re-installed new motor. Then re-installed bottom plate. That simple! Thanks so much for your prompt delivery of my new turntable motor. Will definitely do business with you again.

Tray drive motor was worn out; tray did not turn, and a grating noise came from the oven
1)Removed the screws holding the bottom cover of the microwave (this is an over-the-stove mounted microwave), the panel was hinged so it stayed in place. There were approx 10 screws to remove.
2)disconnected the motor (easy snap off)
3)removed the motor (2 screws mounted it
4)mounted the new motor, plugged it in, screwed the bottom panel in place and it was ready to go.

Changing Turntable motor
Repair went smoother than expected, but a couple of comments should be made. The screws are easy to see and to remove from the bottom plate of the Microwave. The inside of the plate, where the light and filter are can be really greasy and icky. The motor was easy to replace. Putting the screws back in can be relatively tough - especially the ones in the back. I lost one. Might be good to be better prepared to make sure that they don't drop behind the counter.
