Handle broke off (actually the frame broke)
Ordered new frame. Snapped the old frame off, transfered glass to new frame. Popped new frame on micro door. Attached handles threw the holes through metal flanges on door. didn't need instructions. Very logical.

Opened door to get food put more food in closed door it wouldnt work
Everything worked on the display light inside worked but when you closed the door and set time it would start counting down but not heating nor would the turntable turn. Started reading troubleshooting chart and first thing I did was removed the cover and checked door switches and found primary door switch wasn't working so I ordered a new one installed it and it worked. Anyone doing this has to be very careful because of the stored energy in the capacitor is strong enough to kill.
My micro is only 2 years old so I was hoping it wasn't anything major.

Broken glass turntable
I was surprised to find that the turntable for my 10 year old GE Profile microwave/convection oven was not readily available at my local GE retailer. I ordered the part from this website hoping that my order would be filled. I received an immediate response from customer service and the part was on my front doorstep in under 1 week! I would order from this website again!

Interior lamp burned out
Unscrewed the vent at top of microwave exposing small access to bulb. The access to this was very limited so that was the major issue in changing the bulb. You needed small hands to do the job.

runs but does not heat
I removed the main cover ( torx security bit required) and tested the magnetron, capacitor, diode and door interlock switches according to instructions found on the internet. The capacitor and diode tested good but the magnetron looked burnt and corroded on the tip. The magnetron I received was an exact replacement for the original. It was easy to replace the magnetron which arrived in 2 days standard shipping. I also cleaned the fan while I had access to the inside area. Hoping to get another 18 years use from the microwave!

Remove and replace charcoal filter
Open microwave door and remove plastic cover running across top of the oven box by unscrewing 3 Phillips head screws above and behind plastic cover. (4th screw to the right is not related to this cover). DO NOT PULL COVER STRAIGHT OUT. Cover slides either right or left then pops out. Remove old filter and replace and reinstall cover. Filter lays at a 45 degree angle against metal tabs tilting toward you.

The microwave had been mistakenly turned on with nothing in it and the turntable coupler was badly burned. Pieces of it eventually broke off.
The burned remnant of the coupler was a bit difficult to remove. I did so with a pliers and also used the pliers to clear out some burned fragments of the coupler. With a flashlight I determined that the slot for the coupler was now clear. I matched the configuration of the slot with that of the new coupler and it slid immediately into place with no difficulty whatever.

I had broken the clips that hold the vent in while cleaning it.
I ordered the part from this site (which was a little lower cost than another site but was described as a genuine GE part), and I looked up the instructions in my manual. It took about a week to get the new grille. There are 2 philips head screws attaching the grille. Just remove the screws, discard the old grille and put in the new grille with the same screws. The description on-line calls it a snap on grill which is a little misleading. It is attached with screws. I was fearful that it would not fit but it is identical to the old one. I am very pleased I did not have to replace the microwave even though it is 11 years old, it works.
