the transformer started to smoke very badly while in use
I removed the cover and was able to see the burned up transformer. I removed the transformer and did a yahoo search for the part. I found you guys and ordered the part. the part arrived as advertised and I installed it. The microwave has been working now for 2 weeks. One word of advice make sure to use masking tape and mark the wire hookup locations. I used my Blackberry movie as well before I removed the old transformer. I was able to see the wire hookup locations when it was time to reinstall.

Instructions did not match the assembly of the ice maker.
I managed to move the auger far enough to allow me to insert the cup-drive and then realign the auger with the new cup-drive. I also have had one to break very shortly after installing it. This is my second part to replace and this one went really smooth, since I understood that the initial parts installation instructions did not apply on my ice maker.

Microwave would not heat
Determining the root cause was fairly simple - but one should always identify the basic repair part first that may be the root cause - in this order - Diode - HV Capacitor - Magnetron due to costs of fixing the issue. I found that after replacing the two major components it may have been just the Diod/Rectifier a low coat resolution - but one never knows if the issue was one or many problems that wouldn't allow the Microwave to heat. The team at PartSelect was very helpful and was able to expidite the Magnetron to my residence to start the repair process KUDO's to the Customer Service Team!

annual replacement of filter
My husband did it by just taking off the panel on the top of the microwave and replace old with new. We cleaned up some of the accumulated grease as well on the microwave. He had a little problem with the screws. We have done this before so no big problem. Thanks

Microwave door handle broken
After trying to bend parts that do not bend I realized you need to remove the plastic gasket around perimeter of microwave door but leave it loosely hanging on (pry off with screwdriver) With the gasket removed you can fit the door on and the snap the gasket back in place before closing and testing. The door was a perfect fit, it works great. The door will not go on until you remove or bend back that gasket. It's not obvious how or where to remove but just put a screwdriver in there and you'll feel it pop out and it snaps right back in after assembly..

Door broken
The new door is slightly different than the one I replaced. To install the new door, I had to remove the plastic "frame" on the new door with a small flat head screwdriver. Then, I could easily mount the door to the hinges on the microwave. Once on the microwave, I clicked the frame back into the door and it was good as new!

Microwave Door Handle Busted Off (At Top Of Handle)
Easy as 1-2-3! Removed door from unit (top right hinge has an easy small lock that simply "snaps out" with a standard screwdriver. Placed door face down on table. Removed outer (perimeter) frame with standard screw driver, by plying up. Removed the two screws (to the handle) from the backside of door with a phillips screwdriver. Replaced with the new door handle and repeated the above steps in reverse. Done.

Door Handle Broken
Took longer than it should due to no instructions being in box. The removal of the old door took approx 30 secs and was self explanatory. Once I realized I had to remove the plastic inner panel on the new door to re-install it, it also took only minutes. Could have been an easy fix with instructions.

Broken handle
I found and removed the clip for the door - top on the inside (not easy to find) and then removed the door. Called support who told me to watch you-tube and there were good instructions there. Needed needle nose pliers to hold broken screw and a screw driver that could fit between the metal. Flat head and phillips are required. OH you should try to leave the screw in the hole as getting it back there is a PIA. Took about 20 minutes and I am challenged mechanically. Altogether, not too bad.

Very easy repair. I popped of the inside plastic door cover with a putty knife, removed screws to old handle, inserted new handle and reinserted screws and plastic cover. It was that simple. The complete job took me under 3 minutes.
