While splitting wood, ram suddenly lost force needed to split the next piece. Fluid is ok but ram will barely move now.
For model number UT49103
Hello Robert, Thank you for the question. This could be an indication the Ram Valve Assembly is faulty and needs to be replaced. We suggest checking it for wear or damage. We hope this helps!
I have Homelite 4103. It will run for a moment then trips the breaker. Tried a different compacitor but still does it. Any ideas what could be wrong?
For model number UT49103
Hi Holly, thank you for reaching out. You need to check the motor by removing the fan cover, it might not be turning freely as it should be. Check the operating lever, if the lever is loose or not bent correctly, it will prevent the valve from operating correctly. Pump gears can also get jammed, which can cause the log splitter to trip. Check the gears for any sealant or other material. We hope this helps.

Please refer to order#20139116, 11/16/21.I replaced the ram valve assembly and it made no difference in performance.
ram still moves very slowly and lacks sufficient thrust to split wood.
any other suggestions?
For model number UT49103
Hi Bob,
Thank you for your question. If the ram is still moving slowly check the cables on the splitter and make sure that everything is fitted correctly. Also, check the hydraulics for any leaks, jams, or bends that it may have. If there is no pressure when you gauge the splitter then you need to check the pump. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.
