Repair was not successful

Just took it apart and put new one in.

My 11 year old daughter broke the door clasp to the dryer by repeatedly slamming it trying to get it to close. I told her to go down stairs write down the make model and serial number and come back up and find a place to buy it online. I left with instructions not to use the computer for anything else until the part was found. Less then 15 minutes later I came back because I heard giggling. She was chatting but had found an exploded view of the door and the part. She was very pleased with herself! We bought it and it arrived a few days later. I saw the empty box. She had opened it and taken it down and installed it herself. A good lesson, for her and me

I simply removed the retaining clip and old bearing and re-installed the new drum roller, washers and retaining clip. Fairly simple really.

placed it on post with a little glue. It is for decorative use but could not just leave it with no baffle.

Follow instructions on this website and be sure to pull the felt seal fairly tight as you work your way around or you'll be a little short at the end...

The repair was very simple, the information video was a very big help. Followed the steps just by watching the video. All the parts came apart and back together as stated in the video. Cannot be any easier. I used all the parts I order, but all it really needed was the drum support roller kit (noise) and the idler pulley (worn pulley). Dryer is quiet once again. WooHoo.

First, suggest that, if you're mechanically challenged, take pictures or write down the disassembly sequence you use.
Took off the door, removed the front sub panel, then the shroud. When I noticed the wires to the moisture sensors, etc., I remembered to unplug the unit. Once all the screws and clips are removed, used a pry bar to prop up the top of the unit. This makes it much easier to get to the baffle screws from the outside of the drum. Removed old baffles and replaced with the new ones, vacuumed out the inside of the unit, and put it back together in about an hour. It took the parts about three business days to arrive, so it was time to do laundry by then!

The easiest repair I've ever had to do. I checked U-tube and watched a video on how to take off the dryer door and top to get to the baffle, then switched out the old for the new. Put everything back together and it is working great! So easy my 12 year old can do this fix.

removed the front panel and lifted the top up. turned the tumbler and screwed down the new baffles from the outside. Used washers because the screw holes were bent from the old baffles.

Disassembly of this model dryer is from the front panel. First remove the door (4 screws). Next, pull the front panel off (two clips top, two latches bottom - no tools needed). Romove two screws holding top latches from either side. Raise the top, then remove four screws and two 'bolts' for front panel. After you take the front panel off, then remove two screws holding front tumbler support. NOTE: Pay attention to belt routing prior to removal of belt and tumbler. Remove belt and tumbler. Access to the idler arm is now easy. Remove one screw holding idler arm to motor and replace parts. Assembly is reverse. Hint: Hang the belt over the tumbler and reach under to route belt on assembly.

I had to remove the door, raise top and remove the front panel. After removing the drum and belt it was easy to replace the tension idler and put it all back together.

Well tried to find this simple part around Columbus and even maytag website no luck.Parts select had it to go and arrived earlier than expected.Fixed it less than 5 minutes works great.taken longer to put the light bulb back in,Really like the accuracy and quick response from parts select.If I had called a service tech probably would have cost $50.00 or more for a part that cost a little over $3.00 and saved this site in case I need to order other parts.Thank you

A noise in the dryer cabinet started as a chirp, then slowly progressed into a constant squealing noise. After reading reviews on this site, I decided to go ahead and order the roller shafts and drum roller support kits for both sides. The cabinet was relatively simple to disassemble. I removed the door and the front panel, then lifted the top panel to expose the drum. After releasing the tension on the idler pulley I removed the belt and the drum from the cabinet. Once inside, I examined all moving parts and determined that, although the support rollers were worn, they were not the source of the noise, it was the idler roller itself. I order the additional parts that day, and had them the next afternoon. Once back inside the dryer cabinet, the removal and replacement of the idler pulley and assocaited bracket/shaft took less than five minutes. I went ahead and replaced the support rollers as well since I already had them delivered, and that took a total of about 15 minutes. The support rollers are held on the shatfs by c-clips, and having the special pliers built for removing those clips was a big help and time saver. All total this job can be competed by someone with moderate mechanical knowledge and basic tools. It did take some time and patience to get the drum and belt re-installed and routed around the correct route, including the motor polley and new idler pulley. Total time was over one hour, due more so to the time spent cleaing the lint out of the cabinet than actual part replacement.

I unscrewed the door hinges and the screw + plastic retaining clips opposite the door hinges. That allowed me to remove the fron of the dryer which, in turn allowed me to access the baffle screws on the outside of the dryer drum. It is VERY handy to have a finger wratchet with which to undo these baffle screws. Old baffle out/new baffle in and button up the front of the machine. Pretty easy.
