then the video will not show you how to get the top off. It's very easy once you know where the clips and or screws are located. On my model, I used a putty knife on the bottom of the control panel edges. The panel will then rotate up. Then remove the 3 screws that hold on the top panel. Then slide the top panel out and up. Then you can follow the video to separate the electrical connector and 2 screws to remove the switch. Watch a video that show different techniques for different models.

Removed top of dryer, unscrewed broken switch, disconnected from wires, connected new one, put back in place, screwed switch in, put top of dryer back.

I removed the part located on the dryer at the top of the door area. I installed the new part with the two screws I removed and BAZINGA...it all worked again. Very pleased!

Did as your video instruction. To me the order of work needs attention: Remove the switch, unscrew 1st, then remove the hook and wire connection. Installation: connect the wire first, then hook to the frame, the last step is screw in the switch. That should prevent accident dropping the switch inside the dryer.

I followed your online video of how to install the new part . I did have an issue getting the top cover off the machine - the video said to pop off at tabs but no such existed- I had to remove 4 screws on the back of the dryer & lift top off - no big deal Then I had some trouble getting the old part unplugged - required two pliers either side to pull apart- VERY securely fastened. Otherwise just so so simple. FIXIT housewife!

Plugged in the switch, put in (2) screws and finished.

Turned off breaker to dryer. Removed 2 lint trap screws, raised top of dryer & unscrewed switch. Replaced door switch, closed top, replaced the 2 screws that hold lint trap, lowered top, then turned breaker back on.

Popped off dryer end caps, unscrewed 6 different screws, and the top flipped up. Taking the broken part out was easy and so was installing the new one. Would have gone faster if i hadn't put the switch thru the opening backwards! I went back to the video instructions before putting lid back down, and caught my mistake. Overall, took 30 minutes when it should have taken only 15 or 20. I did it alone and didn't need any help. Woohoo!

I checked the motor to make sure it turned freely but it didn't so I knew it was bad, your online instructions made it so easy for me to make the motor replacement, if I ever need any appliance parts ever again .....you can bet I'm buying them from you. I purchased the motor for about 40% less then what it was retailed locally.

Very easy repair, the parts diagram made the repair very easy. Saved me allot of money!

I originally thought that the problem was the door switch assembly, but then noticed the light was still turning on and off and also the dryer did still run if I held the start button in. So then I thought maybe it was the Push to Start Switch, which I replaced very easily. The hardest part about the dryer is getting the aluminum cover off the top. Unless there's an easier way, you take off all the knobs and there's one screw under the timing knob. The cover is connected to the plastic fittings on each end, which I used a screw driver to pry off. It bent it a little, but it's unnoticeable.
The rest was really easy. Unscrew two small 1/4 inch bolts, pull a couple cables with pliers and it's done. Although for me, it wasn't done. Turns out it wasn't the switch. It was actually the Motor Relay that was busted. This part was also very easy to replace. Again, two screws and couple cables, and you're done.
Then put it all back together and the dryer works again.

Pulled back panel off, then removed entire front body. Accessed the blower and the lint cover and removed. Removed drum and belt. Removed motor and replaced, reassembled and plugged in and it worked. Thank you

First I removed the lint screen and removed the two screws holding the top of the dryer on. Next I removed the other two screws by the door switch (in the door jam). I pried the top open, slid it forward and up and had my son hold it up for me. After that, I tried for about 10 to 15 minutes to unplug the door switch from the wiring. WOW!!! After that got loose, I plug in the new one and viola, the dryer is working again. I got the suggestion from fixit.com to check the door switch after posing the problem. I saved a bundle. Don't forget to turn off the breaker first and unplug he dryer. It a lot of pushing stuff back and forth but it was worth it. Thank yo all.

I simply took 2 screws out that secure the lint screen to the dryer top. I lifted the lid to find the switch right in front. Two screws hold it in place. I removed the screws and unplugged the old switch. Then in reverse order I installed the new switch. Works fine.

The hardest part was deciding how the get the top cover lifted. My 7 year old son, who is in the cub scouts, wanted to give the repair work a try. I helped him unsnap the two lid clips and the switch connector. My son unscrewed the old switch and installed the new switch. We then had to vacuum up the enormous amount of lint, paper, and misplaced socks that were behind the washer and dryer so that Mom would be happy.
