Dryer Stopped Working
Very easy, takes 5 minutes of your time. Actually I replaced my stop-start switch and also the timer. First make sure that you unplug the dryer. Using a 1/4" nutdriver unscrew the nuts holding on the back plate, once that is accomplished unscrew the two nuts that holds the switch and take care to unplug the wires on the switch and plug them onto the new switch, bolt the switch back on and replace back plate, and plug in power and presto you are back in business. The most important thing to keep in mind is when you take a wire off the terminal on the bad part that you swap it to the new one and keep doing that till you have them all switched to the new part. I had to pay a service tech $75 to tell me what was wrong with the dryer, ordered part and it came in 2 days. They wanted to charge me $275 to replace the part and it only took me 5 minutes to replace the part.
