Very simple. Pop the top open released the beld from the back it's easier that way the video was very helpful the sound was so bad you can hear it from a few houses down after year of just using it like that I figured I ha d nothing to loose great price great instructions now it sounds just as new.

Very simple. I removed the broken latch with pliers and snapped in the new one in less than 5 minutes.

Remove small back plate near floor with 1/4 inch nutdriver unscrewing two screws. Lay the small plate to the side. Remove dryer belt from around pulleys by pulling up on the old idle arm near main spring. This will loosen tension of the belt. Belt just needs to be removed from only around the two pulleys. Detached spring from old idle assembly. The old assembly will just lift out. Reassemble in reverse order with new assembly from Parts Select. Takes less than 5 minutes. Extremely easy!

I watched the videos on this excellent website first. Then the repair was a breeze.

The customer had removed the top cover hinges and the rear cover plate to recover the broken belt. I first removed the four screws holding the front panel and tilted it out to allow access for the new belt. The drum dropped about 2-3". Fed the new belt over the drum with the printing'This Side Up' facing me, lifted the drum up as I closed the front cover over the felt on the front rim of the drum. Replace dhtew four screws. Door switch leads were long enough to allow the front cover to tilt forward so did not remove. Next engaged the motor pully and tension pulley, then rotated the drum manually to assure tracking and no twist in the belt. Vacuumed the wall passthrough pipe,the flex vent tubing and the motor compartment of lint. Closed up the back cover and drove the 52 miles back to my shop.

Referred to Video and replaced drum support bearing as shown. Did not solve the problem as noise was still present. Called professional repairman, who replaced the belt pulley, along with all the parts I had just installed (came as part of a total kit). I was on the correct path, but just didn't go far enough to check out the belt pulley. If it should happen again, I could complete the whole repair process. Great learning process!!

Watched video on you tube went to PartSelect web site determined it was the rear bearing from the probable causes listed. Received part in two days and the job took less than thirty minutes. The limited access to the belt motor was the only difficult part of the job but by putting the belt on the idler pulley first and pulling down on the belt I was able to get it over the motor pulley. Thanks PartSelect for making this job easier than I thought it would be.

Taking the front of the dryer off was rather easy. A two screws under the control panel and once the flap that separates the washer and dryer was removed there are 4 more screws to remove and release the control panel (disconnect wire harness and let panel hang). Once removed, two more screws separate the door/front of the dryer. Remove those and the 4 on the top front of the dryer. When completed the only restriction you have are bracket mounts. Just give a good tug and the front should separate from the body. Thereafter, the drum can be removed by removing the belt first. Reach to the back and depress the spring loaded pully by moving it to the right, releasing the belt. Let the belt hang while you unscrew the the drum screws, 3 located in a triangle pattern inside the drum. Remove them and the drum from out of the dryer. Straight ahead of you is the heater assembly. In my case, only the coil had to b replaced. So it was as simple as removing the old and in with the new. Reverse your disassembly to get reassembly.

Exactly how the video showed! It was super easy and I am a girl...although I am a lil more mechanicly inclined than most girls, it was a piece of cake!

First I have to say that this was the fourth appliance repair I've done with Partselect parts. I am very pleased with all parts I've gotten from Partselect. The things I've ordered here are delivered quickly and are correct. Now for the dryer repair. I guess the most important tool I had to complete the job was the excellent video demonstration on the Partselect web site. I found that by following the instructions on the video even I had no problems. I spent more time cleaning the inside of the dryer than I did on installing the rear drum bearing. I probably saved us several hundred dollars by making the repair myself. At first I was intimidated but after I got the top off of the dryer and the front off the repair was simple and straightforward. Total time of repair was about fifteen minutes. Total time spent cleaning the lint and other stuff (I did find two dimes and a penny) was about forty five minutes. One hour total and my wife and I have a dryer which is acting like it did when we purchased it in 2001. Thanks to Partselect. Barry

It was really easy to install the new roller with the newly designed side flange! All I had to do is hook in the tension spring. Works perfect again without the squeeking noise!

The video was very helpful. Glad I bought the entire kit. Dryer works great and no noise.

I remove the drum, and install the bearing just like the instructions in the video.
