I pushed the new knob onto the post.

I called a few places and found one here in town that had the knob. When I went to get it, it cost so much, I thought I would go online and see if I couldn't get it cheaper. Bought one from you guys...it came the next morning by Fedex. Saved $9 buying from PartSelect, popped it on and it worked perfectly. Nothing to it. If I need anything else, I'll buy from you. after cutting the power, I used a putty knife to release the two holding clips ot remove the top,, 2 foward facing screws on either side of the front and two cap covered screws holding the bottom and unhooked the two electricial connections for the control panel and removed the front panel. Since this was a stack unit and in a closet most work had to be done from the front. By reaching inside to remove the belt from the motor,removing the drum was the easy part, to get to the bearing, but unfortunatly I had to remove the dryer from the closet to replace the back bearing clip and ball. After that replacing the bearing bracket and housing it was a breeze. Getting the unit back in the closet was a slight struggle, but it all worked out for the best got a chance to cleas behind the dryer, and the repaire was successful, phew.

This was a stacked washer and dryer combo and is a lot more difficult to repair, requiring a lot more to take apart and put back together.

the repair when ok the only problem I had was installing the small white plastic piece in the back without losing the ball bearing .and I also vac up everything inside as well lot of lint

The consensus seemed to be that the loud squealing was most likely the rear drum bearing needing to be replaced. Although the repair went very well (great video!), it did not fix the problem. BEFORE you go the route of replacing the rear bearing, first pop up the top and see if a little piece of plastic that is attached to the top middle of the front panel by a screw is rubbing against the drum (you have to have a load going). I removed this part (I could not find it listed on any parts list) and the squealing stopped. I have no idea what the purpose of this part is, except for maybe keeping the drum from dropping too far down if the load is really unbalanced. This plastic part is on the dryer that has the controls on the front (it has the ability to be stackable) and might not be on the other unit that has the controls on the top back. If anyone has posted this as a possible cause of the squealing, I haven't seen it.

First I like fixing things for myself. So I looked the problem up on the internet. Found the repair tech that I needed. The found your parts site. And BOOM. Looked up mt part on your site. Very easy you had everything I needed. And you got it to me quick. THANKS. When the part hit my mailbox. Everything I needed was there. I pulled the plug. Fliped the lid up. Took off the front. Removed belt off the ideler. Removed drum replaced bearing assy. Put it back together. Closed the lid and pluged the unit in. Worked so well I felt like a pro. My wife was tickled pink. Just like a new one. Thanks guys for making me look good and saving me a lot of money. Will use this site again. I give you 2 thumbs up.

Repair went just according to the video except to pull the drum out there was a plastic lock at the front of the dryer. It was held in by one screw and easy to take off. When I pulled the drum out the armature and spring that hold the belt tight fell off. I panicked a little, but easily put the pieces back in place. When I started the dryer for the first time it sounded odd but realized it was the sound of all the grease spreading itself around the bearing.

Had the macnine apart before ordering the Bearing Assembly. Reading other comments convinced me to order the Bearing Assembly. Parts were shipped very quickly after ordering and following the instructions on the web site things went back together easily.

Found instructions on "UTube"some of the screws were in a different position but you can see them. While you have the dryer apart it's a great time to clean it and also as long as you've gone this far replace the belt,it's probably time.

This is a front load dryer. First unbolt top cover of dryer. Then unbolt screws and connections to control panel. Next unbolt all screws holding dryer door and front bottom panel. Next take belt off of drum and slide out drum from the front. From inside of drum remove 3 screws and remove bearing then put new bearing on and bolt up the same way you take old one off. Using an 8mm socket or wrench remove plastic bearing cage located at rear of dryer. When unbolting there is a retaining clip and small steel ball to be removed from back of dryer. Replace this the same way you take it off. He sure to grease the bearing cage then replace everything back from putting the drum in first to your last step bolting on top cover of dryer. Hope this helps anyone doing this repair.

I watched the repair video on how to replace the rear bearing and ordered the parts.The video was 100% correct and showed the repair step by step I didnt even need to replay it.The repair went as expected and no left oover parts. My dryer runs smooth and quiet, My wife loves her quiet dryer.

Followed video that was provided!! Now I know how to get the top and front of dryer OPEN. Now I can clean interior of dryer ALSO, lots of lent!!

After figuring out how to remove the top, front, and control panel from the Gallery series, which is different than the dryer in the video, the repair was easy. Just followed the rest of the proceedure in the video.

I followed the directions sent by you step for step and the rpair was done in no time at all. Had a little trouble with the roller ball installation but figured out how to install it after a couple of tries. Repair was done with minimal use of standard houshold tools.
