removed the front then removed the belt that turns the drum pulled the drum strait up from the top then removed the bushing from the back wall put the new one in I also put A little grease in the new bushing to keep it from wearing installed the drum and front. realy easy. I'm A Instructor at A technical collage in Winnfield Louisiana and I used this as A project for my students.

took front panel off, removed access panel in rear to disconnect the belt from motor. removed top panel (this is a stack unit) take plastic rivets loose from lint trap, remove lint trap tube, pull drum out after slightly pulling up to dislodge drum from bearing cradle, Remove bracket and bearing from back of unit, clean parts of old grease (be carefull not to loose small ball bearing on back) Reassemble parts using moderate amount of new grease, put parts back together in reverse order.

Slowly my dryer began to stop worftking. I found myself wiggling the starter knob to make it work until it completely gave up. I took the model name and number and found a video describing how to replace the starter device. it took me about 20 minutes to make the change. it only took that long because I decided to clean out the interior thoroughly with a vacuum. All in all it was very easy.

1. Use flat blade to compress clips so top could be raised. Use Philips to remove 2 screws holding front on. Popped front off and then removed old worn and broken glides. Had to lift the drum slightly when placing the front back on. Screwed in the 2 screws to hold the front on. Lowered and locked top. Be careful not to pinch any wires..

My husband died last year and I have learned to use the internet to fix a lot of things. I was so pleased to find your video instructions which gave me the confidence to repair my dryer, myself, for less than $40. Just like instructed I disconnected and pulled out my dryer from the wall. Pried off the top by using a small pry tool near the clips. As my dryer was close to a shelf that would support the raised lid I did not have to disconnect the ground wire on the back. I then pried off the wire connectors from the switch. Unfortunately one of them broke off the end of the wire so I had to replace with a new connector which I purchased from a local hardware store. (strip about a 1/2 of coating off the wire insert in the new connector and attach by squeezing with a pliers) Once that was done I put the switch in place by lining up the notches and twisting into position. I slid on the connectors. Correctly lined up the knob and pushed it in place. Then I reconnected the dryer to the outlet, gave it a turn and it started. Happy dance time! To be completely honest a helpful tip for retrieving a connector that falls down the side of the drum--chewing gum on the end of a 3 ft wooden dowel.
