broken belt
I replaced this belt once before but it squeaked for over a year. This belt from Part Select was much better quality and now the dryer works perfectly, no squealing!

Broken dryer belt
My Son-in law did the repair. He removed the top, the front lower panel and finally the front panel with the door. It took a little more time than anticipated because there was not any explicit directions on how much to remove to replace the belt, but he got the job done and put it back together very quickly. Glad I have him to help when needed:).

Start knob broken off
I popped the dryer lid open by pressing on two latches with the flat putty knife. I found that I really needed another set of hands, so my son helped me with this project. I had to disassemble the front panel by unscrewing 2 screws on the sides and also 2 screws around the dryer timer knob, after removing all knobs. Also, I had to pry apart 2 of the front pieces because they are clipped together with plastic latches. I unhooked two wires from the starter switch and then gave a half twist to remove it from the opening. Once that was removed, I just replaced it with the new part and put everything back together in reverse order. I did test the dryer before putting back together, but make sure you unplug it again while assembling. I forgot and two wires touched and there was a big spark and popping noise. Fortunately, nothing was blown out and no one was shocked I had absolutely no experience with anything like this but found this website to be a huge help. I figured everything out just be looking at the diagrams and some other notes on-line. Thanks!

Broken Dryer Drum Belt
Dismantled the dryer to determine that the belt was broken. Called a local supply outlet to request a belt. They said they couldn't find one. Did an online search and found Part Select. Called with the model number and within three days the part was delivered. Replaced the belt and the dryer was working within an hour. Hardest part was getting the dryer out of the laundry room. I would certainly call PartSelect again if I needed a part.

Drum was not turning
Removed access plate in rear, raised top panel, removed two screws holding front panel (with door) put new belt over drum. Threaded belt through path between motor drive and idler wheel. Put everything back together.
My order was shipped very promptly, and was received very quickly. It is wonderful to have this service available on the internet. I can remember how difficult it used to be chasing down parts before. This was impossible in smaller cities.

The dryer tub started screeching and then dropped.
Removed the top of the dryer above the dryer door by pulling the pop out plastic holds. I then removed the dryer plug in at the top inside dryer that controls the start when dryer door is closed. I thenremoved the screws that are located at the back of the dryer tub where the bearing is located. I then replaced the support bearing. I just replaced every thing I took off in reverse.

Dryer was squeking
I watched the video on the web site after selecting the part and it was pretty simple. Everything worked just like the video showed. Probably could have been done faster but I took time to vacuum the inside of the dryer out. Really liked the video.

no heat but otherwise ran fine
I used the posts on the site to ascertain the problem (fuze or element burnt out). The pictures were very helpful. I pulled the dryer to the floor and using my meter checked both the fuze and the element. The electrical diagrams were very helpful also. I took the dryer apart further to make sure the coil was indeed the problem. I then ordered the part!

Dryer wouldn't heat
Removed obvious screws to the vent etc. Then had a little trouble getting the cabinet open. My only problem was getting the front top panel off. A clip about 2" from either side at the top needs to be pushed in with a flat head screwdriver to release the top. Other than that the task was pretty straight forward. Two sets of wires to the heater itself. Used pliers to help pull them loose.

Squeaking noise as the drum turned
I love technology. First thing I did was google on "U-tube", "How to repair a squeaking dryer". Several videos out there so I just found the one I needed and watched. The repair itself went easy. A word of advice would be to be careful of sharp edges and to remember to unplug the machine prior to repair. While the drum is out, go ahead and get your shop vac and clean the inside of the unit out. Also, not only put grease on the new plastic holder, but put some on the shaft of the idler puller. I also used an awl to line up the holes on the front panel when re-installing the screws. One video I watched showed reaching in through the front to take the drum belt off the pulley, where another showed removing the inspection plate on the back. This made it much easier.
