KER331ZAS2 Frigidaire Dryer - Instructions

It was a closet type washer/dryer combo. With little space to work I needed to know how to get at the heating element to test it. Was told the tumbler had to come out the front to expose the element. Made the job easy without having to figure that out.

Your tutorial video of how to change out the heating element was so helpful, it gave me the confidence to tackle it on my own. It was so detailed, there was no worries of not knowing what to do. Everything was exactly as the video showed, and was very easy to replace this heating element. My wife was thrilled we saved money on doing it ourselves, and grateful to have the dryer working with 3 kids and a husband who works in concrete! We followed the how-to video. It was actually easier than the video made it look. Our dryer had a removable panel behind the pulley to put the belt back on easier. We had to take the whole dryer apart, but it was not difficult at all. We replaced the heating element and put it back together. If you can screw a screw, you can do this repair. Our dryer is working good as new. I love this site!

Brought up repair video on my smart phone and followed instructions while doing the repair (pausing when needed) and completed the job in under an hour including vacuuming the lint from inside the dryer before re-assembly.

Many thanks for the video you guys put together on replacing dryer belts! I didn't know how I was going to get inside the dryer. I had the dryer apart in 10 minutes! Had to wait a day for the belts to come in. New belt in and dryer running in 15 minutes! Thanks for running a first class operation!! Jim

Pulled front off dryer, popped the top up, took belt off pulley, pulled drum up and out just far enough to pull element out and put new one in. Very easy and quick. PartSelect always sends good quality parts and very quickly. I will use them for all my repairs.

I replaced it...just popped it in.

Used a flathead screw driver to pry broken handle out and snapped new handle right back in. Took no time at all. It was great and to top it off, I received the ordered item within 2 working days! Thanks so much. (I do not really know the age of the dryer as it belonged to my Mother who has been relocated into Hospice).

Raised the lid, removed 2 little screws,slipped the front panel off, disconnected the safety switch, vacuumed everything, slipped on the drive belt and reversed my way out. It was way more easy than filling a grease gun!

Take the top off the dryer. Once it's off, start inserting the bands from the inside. From the top or inside, control and move the drum as needed to insert band in place. Once band is in place, and holes line up, press down till you hear it snap in place. Repeat process with second band.

I took the lower back panel off. Loosened the center bolt and took off the old Idler pulley. It looked brown in the middle and didn't roll well. But I wasn't sure if that was it, because the noise was so loud and sounded metal on metal. So I checked everything and vacuumed everything. After I got the new part it took me about 5 minutes to put the new one on. And dryer works fine. Thanks for the quick response and I saved about $200.00!

I Took the front off and saw the cushion was gone around the drum and glids were worn down. I ordered both parts . It took 5 minutes to glue the cushion back on around the drum and 2 minutes to snap the drum glids on.But what I couldnt believe was the amount of lint that was all over the inside of the dryer.I would suggest to anyone to take the dryer front off once a year and clean it all out . I now understand fully why there are dryer fires.But the fix was cake and it runs like new.
