It took longer to gather the tools vs changing the part. I was unsure how to start. Once I got started it was very easy it took 5 minutes.

Dryer Element Not Heating
Daughter and I lifted top of dryer, carefully removed old element and thermostat, watching as we went how the old ones came out, and replaced with new one! Dryer working just fine!

Dryer doesn't heat
I used a butter knife to push the spring clips that hold the top down, this was the hardest part of the repair. Once the top was open it took about 20 minutes to pull out the old part and replace with the new, including running the dryer on high for a few minutes to get rid of the new element smell. Always unplug before attempting any electrical work.

Heating element in dryer went out
Opened up the top of the dryer. Had to use the internet to find the broken part since the last time I replaced a heating element it was at the bottom. This one was at the top behind the drum. Disconnected three screws holding the old element in place and the wiring. Pulled the old element and put the new one in replacing the wiring and the screws.

Install new latch
Just snapped the new plastic latch into the hole (the hole was there because in trying to extract the old latch, it fell into the inside of the door). Took two seconds. Order to arrival of the part took only 22 hours!
